Gabrielle Union Takes A Stand

Actress Gabrielle Union is speaking out in support of Planned Parenthood. In light of the recent controversy surrounding the organization and the belief that they are disproportionately placed in minority communities and the main cause of many African American babies being aborted, Gabrielle has come forward to talk about all the good the program does.

For Gabrielle the issue hits close to home as her best friend (Kristin Martinez) since childhood received both screening and treatment for her breast cancer through the organization.

“We knew she wasn’t going to make it this past summer, so I asked her, What’s the one thing that you want young girls to take away, what do you want your legacy to be?

She said just to remind people and women, especially, that you are your own best advocate, and if you don’t put you first, no one else will.”

With all that’s going on in the media about Planned Parenthood and abortions, I think the media is doing the public a great disservice. The fact that only 3 percent of the services that Planned Parenthood provides are abortions makes you wonder what’s happening with the other 97 percent of what Planned Parenthood is doing.”

Gabrielle says those who support Planned Parenthood should stand up for the organization and contact their local Congressman/woman and demand funding for the program not be cut.

  1. Abortions in addition to black women having babies with other races is sure to kill us off in less than 50 years. It’s funny how they use abortions as a proxy to exterminate the black population saying it will bring more poverty. I guess Gabriell don’t see the millions of poor poverty stricken illegal aliens crossing the border everyday.blacks made up 30 million 100 years ago. We are nothing but 37 million now. Hispanics were 6 million 100 years ago now their numbers have passed the blacks and growing in exponential numbers daily. Soon, the asians will catch up and pass us and we will be ignored like the Native Americans thanks to SMART Black Women and Politicians going along with the same people that hates us. You black women can’t blame this on black men. The messed up part about it is that the founder of planned parent hood inspired Hitler and black women sweep it under the rug. If this is what black women call smart and black men are stupid, I am guilty as charged!

  2. LUXOR is an obvious black woman hater who has zero concern for black women or children. His very first sentence where he asserts that black women making babies with non black men is wiping out the race, shows you how looney he is.

  3. Black women are portrayed as irresponsible baby making breeders and thus when they get pregnant under iffy circumstances (poverty, youth, unmarried) they seek to end the pregnancy rather than bring a child into the world that might suffer.

There is a part of me that believes bringing a child into the world to be poor is wrong but then I remember all the great black people throughout history who were born into poverty and ended up living wonderful lives and even affecting the world in amazing ways.

The abortion rate however will continue to go up as long as the black woman herself is disrespected with names like baby mama and is abandoned by the men that get them pregnant. This problem isn’t a blame game but one that has to have real solutions and those solutions involve black men and women.

  4. “Abortions in addition to black women having babies with other races is sure to kill us off in less than 50 years”

Luxor please think about what you want to say before posting it. This statement makes no sense. Black women having babies with other races, that is so one sided. Black men have children with non blacks also.As for “Smart” black women going along with those who hate us, I don’t agree. The entire race of white people do not hate blacks, that is a gross generalization. The abortion rate may have something to do with the way some women are raised in the home. Some women do need to be better educated on relationships. The responsibility does not fall soley on the black woman. Where is the black man? Why is his little girl feeling she needs to lay down with men, and when they dump her she sees no other way but to have an abortion. Some women do use abortion as a form of birth control, and that comes from ignorance. The black family and community need to be built up again..and that is going to taken men and women because many times these things are generationsl and that’s bigger than the single black female

  5. I meant to say..”take” and “generational”..I know how some are about the typos

  6. I gave a ride to someone to goe the social services offices. She just lost her job and pregnant so she also lost her insurance. She went there to apply for Medicaid. While in the waiting room, I can tell you what I observe. 85% of the women there were black women, most of them very young (teenagers or very young adults) with multiple kids. I know that there are a lot of black women out there who are responsible and hard working but seeing this made me think: “we need to get our act together”. The number of black teenage and single mothers is just unbelievable. We need to recognize that this is a problem.

  7. Teen pregnancy is a problem, but the fact still remains that yes, there is an agenda to urge African American women to abort their babies, and bad social/economic conditions help push that urge along. Jesse Jackson even called Planned Parenthood genocide, before deciding to take their money when he tried running for President in ’84.

  8. I think black men need to help thier women and children.

  9. black women can have babies with any nationality we want. We are all the same in God’s eyes. And people need to realize that, before saying that the black race will be exterminated through miscegnation(sp). There are over 1 billion Africans, millions of AFrolatinos, AfroCarribbeans, and many AfroAsians, Aborigins, afroPacific Islanders and many AfroAmerican Indians, black folks are not in danger of dying out. And if they do, than it’s because black men are dying off or not procreating with females. Since, the male genes determine the race of a baby, you should take this issue up with black men.

    Amen.
