In between preaching to you all this week I actually found time to update BrownSista.net and create galleries for Shar Jackson and Buffy the Body. Yes I said Buffy- lol. Also added were high quality photos of a beautiful Mary J. Blige photo shoot taken last year and a shoot I believe Kelis did in the U.K last year as well. Other galleries updated include Jamelia, Nia Long, Meagan Good and what would a week be like without pics of Beyonce. The sista performed in Marceille a few nights ago and well- she looked awful glittery and even more jiggly. Go check’em out for yourself.

^^ :confused: In the sense that she is a brown sista in Hollywood, I would say yes, there are articles about Beyonce. But in the sense that this site is dedicated to further promoting her (shoving her down our throats) as an entertainer (singer, not actress), then I have to disagree and say not at all.
I’m a fan of Brown Sista because this site highlights many of Hollywood’s sistas – not just one or two.
But good going Rihanna!
Its great to see more of Kelis. I like her style and her voice whether she is talking or singing. She is adorable. As for Beyonce, I don’t think she is more jiggly, She’s just not wearing those fish net stockings and now she has been revealed. :lol:

This comment elicits nothing from me except pity. How can you take what is written on a celebrity blog so seriously? How can you become so wrapped up in the life of a complete stranger that you muster up enough strength to write such a ridiculous comment?
Why would we have to front as something we are not? We could have simply created a Beyonce blog and still gotten the traffic we get today and maybe more. We report what is going on with Black female celebs whether you like them or not. Hell, we don’t actually like half the people we write about but we keep it objective and just report the facts as best we can.
Instead of crying because we apparently haven’t reported that Rihanna has the #1 song in the country (something I didn’t even know), you should be happy to find a site online that doesn’t seek to down, belittle or smear the name and image of Black women.
And just remember while you are so busy trying to tear down Beyonce, White folks are doing everything they can to see to it that Britney Spears regains the popularity she once had and didn’t work for might I add. Like Madonna, she was simply the hottest new White woman in the industry and the media pounced on her.
Beyonce has had to work and earn every bit of her success. So yes, we are gonna support this Black woman whether you like it or not.
FYI, neither myself or Stephanie are even Beyonce fans. We are Janet Jackson fans and used to run a Janet fan site back in the late 90’s.

I try to find sites devoted to her but I’m just not satisfied with them. I am 27 yrs old but my big sister who now 37 got me into Janet when I was little :smile:

Unfortunately my days of running fan sites are long gone. I am a wife and mother now so my time online is really limited. My love for Janet is still there though and I hope she comes back big. :dance:

Even those people who claim they are tired of seeing and hearing her continue to comment on her. We often post topics on sistas that go totally un-noticed and responded to. My recent post on Jill Scott is a great example of that. However, if I were to post the most recent pics of Beyonce performing in the U.K you would probably be the first to respond and Kitten would be the second. :roll:
