Jada Pinkett Smith is set to return to the small screen. As the star and executive producer of TNT’s new medical drama, Hawthorne, Jada will return to the venue that made her a star nearly 20 years ago. Speaking to NPR reporter Tony Cox, Jada addresses rumors about her marriage to actor Will Smith and allegations that a school she co-founded with her husband has ties to Scientology. “I definitely respect and understand people’s curiosity, but people, they have to trust me when I speak on my truth…If I say to you, ‘I don’t have an open marriage,’ ‘No, we’re not gay,’ and you don’t trust that, well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I’m happy.”

Go jada i will be watching Hawthorne on tnt
Love her and will, Don’ t listen to those rumors people don’ t see the real dysfunctional couple they have to attack those that actually work good together
People often talk based on what they “hear” not what they “know”. I love Jada, I’m glad she’s not letting stupid rumor spreaders stop her from being happy.
Well stated, Jada.
Congratulations :hifive: on the return to the small screen! I always thought she was a very good actress. I totally agree with this statement.“I definitely respect and understand people’s curiosity, but people, they have to trust me when I speak on my truth…If I say to you, ‘I don’t have an open marriage,’ ‘No, we’re not gay,’ and you don’t trust that, well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I’m happy.” Jada I know how you feel girl she said a mouth full. People are always trying to speculate and run your life.
@ Voice :lol2: “people don’ t see the real dysfunctional couple they have to attack those that actually work good together” You are too funny and I know where you are going
I Love these two, such a sexy dynamic duo. True love at its best.
i love love jada,i think she acts better than Halle Berry and i idmire their relationship.
I really hope they are not really into scientology
Any way will is my husband so I don’t like Jada!!!!!!!
:hater:
First of all lets go back to the real standards of life. Will has children by his first wife and to my knowledge its all about the kids. Was that the right thing to do to your kids?, by breaking up a marriage where your kids has to go through the turmoil. If she was real, she should have encourage him to work things out for the sake of the kids. Like every other Hoochie in society, she seen an opportunity to really strike it rich and ran for it. Now its not about the kids, but about Self.
most people dont even know what the church of scientology is all about and they are already freaking out,it is just the fear of the unknown ……people must just be curious, research before judging,if Jesus were to be prosecuted in this day in age, they wud put him in an electric chair and we wud use the electric chair as a symbol of Christ…..The world is progressive and i find scientology to be the most progressive religion and the world we live in has changed so much and there is nothing scary about it, Will and Jada were in disfunctional relationship before they found each other and needed joy and true love, they are perfect for each other.
I think Will has ‘a child’ by his first marriage; his oldest son Trey.
As for rumors of gayness and scientology…that is THEIR BUSINESS. I have never cared to gossip or listen to gossip about it. Don’t care. They are strong talented people with family values who have raised and are raising seemingly grounded kids. God bless them…and all their millions. LOL
Love, love, love Jada!!!
I’m anxious to check out this new show w/ her.
She and Will are a beautiful & cool couple- very inspiring.
The people who say they are gay, want them to be out of spite and jealousy.
Guys who call Will gay do so because he is a stand up guy and all the ladies love him. He was the first famous black male to put these rappers on blast for violence and misogyny in their lyrics.
So a man who loves his wife, takes care of his kids, and put trifling brothers on blast MUST be gay right?
I have always loved Jada. I love to read their interviews. I remember they were on Oprah and both of them were gushing over each other.
As for that Sientology stuff, I WISH Tom Cruise was my friend. I would name my first born Xenu! LOL
The guys who call Will gay are those fake thugs in hip-hop. Because they have let those white corporate men that run hip-hop define what their man hood is about and Will did not. And he is definatly the better person for it. Career wise and everything else. Why do we find it so hard to see happy black families. There are happy black families all over the world. I am sure most of us on these blogs come from happy black families. It’s okay to say we are happy and be proud of it. I love Will because he has allowed him self to become a grown man and not try to be in his forties and still act like he is 21. He is a grown sexy man with the sense to marry a beautiful, intelligent, whole it down black woman. Kind of reminds me of that fella with the funny name I think he’s the President.

There are so many things wrong with this statement. First of all, children are unhappy in an unhappy marriage because what matters most is that BOTH parents are happy and respectful of each other whether together or not. Second, will met Jada AFTER he was divorced. Third, this isn’t Jada’s job to tell him to take care of his first son, she’s not his mama. And the main reason Jada stayed with him is because she saw that Will was responsible, she never had to “tell him” to take care of his son after his divorce, he did it as a responsible father. I don’t think a woman of Jada’s character would have stayed with a deadbeat father, case in point we see today he’s a great father to their two children, so she made the right choice. Fourth, Jada calls Will’s first son her “bonus child” and gets along with him and the ex-wife extremely well, they all get along for the sake of the children. If everything was about herself and not the kids, Jada would be known as a diva and wouldn’t care for any of her kids, especially not the bonus child. Jada is a businesswoman who makes her own money, writes books, directs and produces movies. Who do you think produced “Secret Life Of Bee’s”? Or wrote and produced “The Human Contract”? She’s not a golddigging oochie depending on a man’s dough. She had a job and a career before Will and she’s making her own money, despite times being extra hard for black women in hollywood. Matter of fact, she could support her two children and make them live lavishly with her money alone. Will didn’t marry a bird, he married a powerful woman who REFLECTS him, get that clear.
Real talk: For real tho people could not see a couple with real issues if they were waving a banner saying:” hey look we are incompatible just got married for business”
Jada and Will are making their marriage work, iT’ S obvious that will is still very much in love with his spouse but people still want to talk, remember when will and jada got married she had her own, she was never a groupie of will, of course she praised her man, but never came accros as thirsty by his power, she has always been very confident in him, herself, and their foundations, and people are jealous of that
Well, if Jada says the rumors aren’t true, then I believe her unless someone can PROVE otherwise.
@ Voice I totally understand it does seem that way. People have a tendency to indulge in the dysfunctional or pseudo type individuals in society rather than the people that are real.
@ LiveNLearn you know you better preach on
:stop: Will DID meet Jada BEFORE him & Sheree divorced. Jada did an interview some years back with Sister 2 Sister magazine discussing that.
But nonetheless, i love Will & Jada and i especially love the way Will INCLUDES Sheree in alot of things as well as her family & Sheree’s husband, because in the end its the kids who do suffer the most from divorce. Will, Sheree & Jada all handled the divorce and child situation with dignity & class–the way you’re SUPPOSED to handle it–too bad alot of the “new” women who come into the men’s life after the kids, after the divorces/splits aren’t as classy–but just the opposite–INSECURE! Jada said she wouldn’t have it any other way–she loves Trey AND Sheree–when she was on Oprah she said Trey deserves that–now that’s a real chick for ya! Go Jada! :hifive:
@LiveNLearn
Well said!
The respect and love Will and Jada Smith have for themselves and their children is refreshening and restoring. No one can convince me of anything else but that the love Will and Jada show to each other is genuine. They respect each other. How they choose to express their love to each other in private and is a part of their private marriage and it ‘taint nobody’s business what they do – they’re grown.
People who really appreciate the accomplishments of Will and Jada don’t have an ounce of curiosity about what goes on in their marriage bed.
