Janelle Monae Joins Electric Dreams Cast

Janelle Monae to Appear in Amazon Original Series

Janelle Monae is set to make a guest appearance in the upcoming sci-fi series Electric Dreams. The 31-year old Yoga singer will reportedly appear in an episode titled Autofac, alongside Jay Paulson, David Lyons and Juno Temple. Electric Dreams is based on a collection of short stories by award-winning novelist Philip K. Dick, and will kick off its ten-episode freshman season later this fall via Amazon Prime.

Thank to her appearance in the Oscar-nominated films Hidden Figures and Moonlight, Janelle’s acting career is red hot. In addition to her role in Electric Dreams, she’s also secured a spot in the upcoming Robert Zemeckis film, Marwenkol, and is rumored to be appearing in the 2019 reboot of the Charlie’s Angels franchise.

  1. Happy for Janelle. Anything sci-fi (especially Philip K. Dick – “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”) is a good fit for her.

  2. I’m so happy for Janelle. She stayed true to herself and things are finally paying off for her. Primetime is still my jam all these years later.
