Janelle Monae Rocks TopShop

Singer Janelle Monae paid a visit to BET’s 106 & Park last week wearing one of my favorite fashion looks: a white pant suit.

Janelle, known for rocking a pompadour and tuxedo, switched things up a bit, keeping the pompadour but switching out the masculine tuxedo for a gorgeous Topshop grossgain collar blazer and matching wide-leg trousers.

Janelle’s look is surprisingly affordable, coming in at a cool $300 for the top and bottom. The affordability however ends at the ankles. Janelle paired her minimalist look with Janis Two-Tone Cap-Toe Platform pumps which retail at Bergdorf Goodman for an eye-popping $745.00.

Still love this look… though I know I could have found a cuter and cheaper version of that pump.

  1. She wore this look twice before as well. I like it on her but anything done over and over again quickly become old. She is pretty and can switch up her clothes without becoming a sex pot.

Music wise I am not feeling her. She tries way too hard to be eclectic and the music just end up sounding a mess with no kind of cohesion.

  2. I like her music. She is definitely bringing something different from the same ole, same ole that almost everyone else is putting out.
