Singer Janet Jackson, along with the other members of her famous family, were spotted earlier today entering the Los Angeles County Courthouse for the first day of testimony in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the man who stands accused of administering the lethal dose of propofol that killed Michael Jackson.
According to CNN, the trial is expected to last 6-8 weeks, with Michaels’s oldest son,Prince, expected to take the stand at some point.
And in another bit of Janet news, the singer is expected to continue on with her ‘Up Close & Personal’ tour in October.
Janet will perform several shows in Australia and South Africa before heading back to the U.S. and playing dates in Las Vegas, Miami and Tampa, Florida.

I couldn’t take watching the opening statements for that case and midway I cried like a maniac. So much so that i decided I couldn’t watch. To have been his, Michael, family in there must have been torture when defense tried to spin the story in a horrible manner to help that doctor. I said a prayer for them. I wish Michael had never come across this doctor or propofol.
I HAVE SYMPATHY FOR PARIS, BLANKET, PRINCE, BECAUSE THEY LOST THEIR FATHER, AND THE ONLY PARENT THEY KNEW. THAT IS ALL. I’M NOT GOING TO SUGARCOAT ANYTHING.
That was a really great tribute…her body of work is amazing!!!…did she do it or what?
My prayers go out to Janet and her family. My immediate and extended family have gone to through murder trials and its so painful, especially, when the victim is also put on trial in hopes of some measure of justice.
I hope out of this more doctors will be mindful of assisting those with drug dependency, regardless of the pleas and requests of the rich or the everyday soccer mom to the neighborhood clinic. I know someone right now with a tylenol with codine dependency and I’m fearful about the long-term affect of her addiction, her liver and other organs. Most people don’t have a clue.
Drug dependency is sad and often quite destructive, they’re “pain killers”…as is food addictions and other compulsive behaviors…balancing life is indeed our greatest challenge, I do believe!
Michael was great and never will be egaled, his sister is the greatest no one can compare to her, not one chick.I would love to accuse Dr murray and join the witch hunt, but it seems to me that, he would benefit more from michael alive then dead, He should lose his license and practice, but not go to jail. I pray for The jacksons to learn how to deal with this.
why are the jacksons only blaming dr. murray, yet dr.klein boldly spread falsehoods on MJ, yet claiming to be his bestfriend and godfather to his kids? why are the jacksons not blaming the other doctors for giving mj drugs, and why not the other people they claim enabled mj? why not blame themselves? maybe if mj didn’t feel obligated to take care of grown folks, he would have been able to just focus on himself and his kids.when mj would go off and relax they should have respected that he needed space and time, and not put so much pressure on him to support them emotionally and financally. don’t blame just dr. murray, look in the mirror. but mj should have been strong enough to tell everyone to kick rocks and focus on his health. jmo.
God please forgive me I have to say this…Michael was a grown *** man that blamed everyone for his inadquacies oppsed to taking a good look at himself…he song a song MAN IN THE MIRROR…I wonder did he ever adhere to it? He was a liar he did not have a pigmentation disease he used bleaching cream what a disgrace!! Not to be please with the color of your skin. YEAH BLAME THE DOCTORS!! That’s easy to do. His family …..guilt! Guilt!! All those families members and no one until it was too late interceded and their reasons for the few times that they say they tried was whack!! God forgive me for being jugemental I just cannot beleive they are prosecuting the doctor because Michael was a drug addict, child molester and poor Michael always cried victim!! Moving forward Michael was a Musical Genius one of the very best. However, he was a man that made bad choices no one put a gun to his head he was not naive and the not having a childhood does not make you make these choices. He was bless far beyond any of us will ever be….poor Michael….yeah okay..Get past the music and look at the person for what he really was a man who did not LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!!
By the way he was not found guilty of child molestation ,,,and what I’ve learned and experience in the judcial system helping indigent inmate is capitol punishment is punishment without the capitol if you have no cash you’re going to jail. A grown man in his forties sleeping in the bed with strangers kids was not right no he was not found gulity however any parent reading this no it was not right!

HIS FASCINATION WITH CHILDREN, WELL I AGREE IT WAS INAPPROPRIATE, I TRULY BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE STEPPED IN, AND GOT MJ PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP, FOR THAT ISSUE, BUT FROM LOOKING AT DOCUMENTS THERE HAS NEVER BEEN EVIDENCE THAT HE MOLESTED ANY KIDS. I JUST THINK THAT MJ DIDN’T WANT TO GROW UP, AND SINCEMJ WAS A CASH COW FOR SO MANY PEOPLE, THEY DEEMED THAT DISORDER HAS FASCINATING, ECCENTRIC, BECAUSE NOONE WANTED MJ TO LEAVE THEM BROKE. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IS WHY PEOPLE PUT IT IN HIS HEAD THAT WOMEN WERE OUT TO GET HIS MONEY, BECAUSE IF MJ WOULD HAVE HAD HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS WITH WOMEN, A STRONG WOMEN WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PULL HIM AWAY FROM OTHERS AND CREATED AN ADULT HEALTHY WORLD FOR HIM. SO IN THE MIDST OF THEIR ENABLING MJ’S HANG UPS, THEY DESTROYED HIM, AND IT WASN’T THE MEDICATIONS, THE MEDICATIONS JUST SPED HIS DEMISE SOONER.
I think this doctor should be made an example of as a deterrent to other doctors who might be considering similar foolishness. However, MJ was such a tortured soul. He was on a singular path to total self-destruction. If not Conrad Murray, it would have assuredly been someone else.
