CNN Headline News correspondent Richelle Carey recently sat down for a one-on-one interview with Janet Jackson. The singer spoke about her headlining stint at this year’s Essence Music Festival, as well as her return to acting.
“Acting is more of a challenge for me than singing and dancing is and I love that about it,” Janet explained. “It was my first passion,” she added, which is why she says she is so honored to be a part of “For Colored Girls,” Tyler Perry’s film adaptation of the 1975 play, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf.”
Despite returning to acting, Janet says she also has plans to eventually return to the stage and that her Essence concert will be but one of many upcoming show she will do for her fans.
To see Janet’s entire interview tune in to HLN today at 4pm.
