Singer Janet Jackson, who is about to turn 42 years old this month, was spotted out in Hollywood last night with boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. Earlier in the day Janet had given her first performance since falling ill back in March at the United America Concert which was held at the Del Mar Beach. The free concert, in support of our troops, also featured performances by Jordin Sparks, Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg and a host of other artists. Not much is known about this concert and few if any people outside of army folk in California knew about it. However, the word on Janet forums is that it was taped by NBC and will air on June 1st.

I love this song “Luv”, he hit me with his luv, luv, luv, luv, he crashed into my heart!!! After seeing Janet perform feedback I became a really big fan, I wish that I could dance like her. I love her and Michael Jackson, to “Terry”, u r so right, Janet Jackson = the female Michael Jackson, no other female can beat Janet on the stage!! She is so awsome I luv her too death. All I can say is ‘Legend = Icon”, Janet makes the stage crumble, while sending the audience into a dance frizzy!! Now, this is what I am talking about when performing, it seems like she commands the stage!!! I will be at her concert when she comes to the ATL, I have been to many concerts, but the best concerts that I really got my money’s worth are the “Velvet Rope” tour, and the Michael Jackson’s “History” tour. Honey, I don’t know why yall worried about Janet’s vocals, you all don’t know the Janet Jackson history, Janet sings live using a back up track, I witnessed this first hand because I was at the MTV TRL performance. Janet has used back up tracks for years, but other artist just discovered it. It is not lip syching. The girl truely knows how to work a stage, the only other person that can work a stage like Janet is her brother, yes, the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Im sorry to tell yall, but I have been to many concerts from Beyonce, to Justin Timberlake, to New Edition, and none of them comes close to putting on a show like Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson, now Usher might come close I’ll have to attend one of his upcoming tours to determine this. I must say that I concur with you all. Besides from being a beautiful woman Janet is indeed a great performer. She`s timeless in more ways that one. (she doesn`t look a day over 30) As far as airplay goes that`s what radio does to artists once that hit 40. They, themselves, decide that they`re no longer relevant instead of letting the record buying consumers decide. That`s why you have the old school artists teaming with today`s artists because they feel it`s their only way to get their music heard, it`s a real shame. I mean you have Madonna teaming up with Justin Timberlake, etc. Good music is good music regardless of the age of the artist.
As far as The Rhythmn Nation video goes I agree that it`s classic. No other female artist should even think about duplicating it, it`s Janet`s and Janet`s alone. That`s like someone trying to duplicate any of Michael`s performances/videos, leave it alone, I`ll get to Michael in a second even though this is a Janet post. Janet should continue to hold her head high because she hasn`t definitely left a mark and an influence on today`s crop of artists whether they admit it or not. One of my favorite performances of Janet`s was her performance on The American Music awards back in the day in 1986. (The Control Era) Janet definitely has a style all her own and her sense of stlye when it comes to wardrobe isn`t anything to take lightly either.
I see previous posters have compared her with Michael and that`s fine by me. As far as he goes he`s the measuring stick for all performers. There will never be another MJ, I care who they may try to annoint. Not Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion, no one. When you watch Michael perform it`s like watching a love affair between The Master and The Dance. He keeps you on the edge of your seat with the anticipation of his next move. I know no other performer who can execute as many styles of dance as Michael. First he has his own unique style. Then you add the fact that he`s also a helluva pop locker while adding his own twist, and then on top of that he tap dances. Just go to YouTube and pull up some of his videos.
Of course he`s also worked with two of the best poppers including Jeffrey Daniel (formerly of Shalamar) and Michael “Boogaloo Shrimp” Champers. (aka Turbo in the moving “Breakin) Even today Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion, etc. wouldn`t stand a chance against Michael, even at nearly 50 yrs. of age. (I`d bet on it) He has such control of his body and his dancing is PRECISE. His two trademark moves in my opinion is his moonwalk and his phenomenal spin. His spin has the speed of an ice skater. As far as his tours are concerned I`d have to go with The “Bad Tour” in The late 80`s, that`s when he was in his prime. No one can touch him. Also during her interview with Larry King a couple of months ago Janet revealed that she and the family were trying to convince Michael to tour again with the family and that she`s love nothing more than to open for her brothers. Now that would definitely be a treat…. I know this is a Janet post but others got the ball rollin`. (LOL)

My point is, that when Del’s posts start to make you angry–think about this…I think that his real issue may not be the fact that “black” women are marrying non-black men…in his Mariah post I got the distinct impression that perhaps he is also upset that the women he considers to be the most beautiful—don’t prefer him (he thinks). So it is really more of a self love issue than a true hatred of the multi-racial marriage. I would bet you very good money that he does not feel the same way about black men with non-black women. So it is a very insincere position and you are too sweet a person to let him get to you with the tirades.

His performances is like watching a Stephen King movie or a suspense thriller as you grip to its every detail. He takes you in and out of loops as you sit on the edge of your seat in shear delight. He gives you chills, he gives you goose bumps, as you`re put in a trance while being captivated by The Master of The Dance. Up and down he takes you as he and the dance become one,you dare not turn away as The Master continues to cast his spell.
Where it will lead you never know, for which each turn there`s a new twist. You only know that you`re witnessing something very special as you look on as the ride continues. Up and down, in and out, he mesmerizes you while killing you softly. You don`t resist for, your are a willing slave, you go wherever the ride takes you not wanting it to end. He pops, he moonwalks, he spins, with the fluidity and the rhythmn of a mighty rushing stream. You cling to each second of your high knowing that when you come down you`ll long to go on that phenomenol ride once again. That, my friend, is what it`s like watching Michael perform. I submit to you to go to YouTube and watch some of his performances, concerts, award shows, the whole nine, and watch The Master at his craft.

Discipline was the number 1 album in the country. “Feedback” was in the top 20 on billboard 100. The song has also went gold selling over 500,000. #1 dance song on billboard. She has won her 1st NAACP award for lead actress (WDIGM). What is wrong with people? Is it absolutely impossible to respect more than one artist or be someone’s fan without putting someone else down? It’s sad. It’s one thing to compare one artist to another casually, but to sit around and plain out discredit someone as legendary and talented as Janet makes no sense at all.

It’s not that hard to do, if you don’t like what you’re reading, then move on. I’m not particularly against or for any artist, I wish them all the best. You should really try to do the same. Janet is trying to reclaim her top spot like any other artist out there who’s facing the reality of getting older in the business. I can’t knock her down for that. You are in need of some serious help, you have serious mental issues and you are too disrespectful, Do you sit by your computer 24/7 and go onto artists sites that you apparently do not like to diss them and the bloggers. It seems you only thrive on virtual attention I almost feel sorry for you. Alliyah was an icon in the making she could act, dance and sing. It is totally wrong to diss someone who has died through tragic circumstances, just goes to show your mentality. Use to like Beyonce but she definately was over exposed and she was only more relevant to me when she was with Destiny’s Child. I still can not see the greatness in Beyonce as you put it. She is not a good actress, dancing is so so, and all that really saves her is her voice and maybe her solo hit crazy in love can,t think of any others. I prefer Aretha Franklins, Mary J Blige and Keisha Coles voices. When it comes to entertainment Janet will always be number 1 as she has won an award for her acting has loads of grammys and other awards for her music and videos when it comes to Touring she is the only female artist out there who has had the biggest and most sucessful world tour in history No other female entertainer has broken that record can you say the same thing about Beyonce if you can then maybe you might have a point! google it if you don,t believe me.. I don’t believe “Kyla” is even real, nor do I believe that person to be a young or black female, which is why I stopped responding to them. Certain word choices, in my opinion, exposes them as: 1) a person who has posted on this site before, under a different name, but always regarding either Beyonce or some general negativity against black women and 2) most likely a non-black male. I think it is the same person who was agitating under the name “Dave”.
I won’t point out the word choices that I believe expose them as a young non-black male–because then they will change those words in future posts (under other names) but it is probably best to ignore this person. They aren’t real and they aren’t in need of any kind of help that we can offer. I would suggest an excorcism, but I doubt it would be effective anyway.
