Janet Jackson’s official website relaunched earlier this week. The site features the usual: biography, discography and incorporates many of Janet’s videos, as well as an online store and links to causes the singer supports. Most notably however is the updated biography section, which reveals details of what Janet has coming up in the latter part of 2009 and early part of 2010.

“Later this year, Janet will publish her first book, providing an intimate look at her life and how she has dealt with issues of self-esteem. Janet will reveal aspects not known before about her uniquely successful career not only in music but in television and motion pictures.
The next months and new year will also bring another film starring Janet as she joins Tyler Perry in his sequel, Why Did I Get Married Too, followed by a new album slated to released during the first quarter of 2010.”
Already added her to twitter. Cannot wait for her to come out with whatever she has planned. Love this one. A true icon and legend. :)

Janet sent out a tweet today saying she will be starting her new album soon and that she just wrapped up shooting Why Did I Get Married Too.
I’m happy to hear she is starting the album. I want her to live a while and work with Jimmy and Terry and come back with some classic Janet music that really resonates with her fans.
