K. Michelle Says She’s Taking Time Off From Music to Return to School
Shortly after endorsing Hillary Clinton for President earlier this week in South Carolina, singer K. Michelle took to Instagram to announce her decision to take time off from music to return to school. “My life has taken me places I would’ve never thought,” K. told her fans. I graduated from Florida A&M University with honors and was later accepted into numerous law schools. Then one wrong turn and my life was forever changed.”
K. went on to tell her fans that though she’s taken many wrong turns in her life, she’s always strived to get back on the straight and narrow, and said part of doing that would be taking time away from music to return to law school.
“Music is my heart and my life, but after this album I’m taking a break to focus on my other gifts,” K. wrote. “I would like to finally enroll in law school and pursue my other business ventures.” Among those ventures is a deal with Atlantic Records, a new restaurant and home furnishings line.
As for music, K. reminded fans her More Issues than Vogue album would be out next month, and that despite her plans to return to school, she will fully be supporting the project and that includes a tour.
