This is a matter of opinion. I still think if more publications showed Kelly some love it would make all the difference in the public’s eye and in her record sales. Imagine what great publicity it would have been if Kelly had gotten the cover and a 10 page spread and interview. And in all honesty the timing was in poor taste. I support Bey as much as the next person but how could she have been given the cover the month Kelly’s album comes out? That is just wrong and worst of all it is a total slap in the face of Kelly.
I think kelly is very pretty & should have gotten the cover. Bey & her dad don’t want this poor girl to shine at all..dam shame. I usually like bey’s pics but the first 3 aren’t flattering at all. The pic in white is very nice and the last one is cute.
Because the Knowles family took Kelly in some people just assume Beyonce’s parents love her as much as they love Beyonce and Solange and that just isn’t the case. Family love and look after family first. Mathew is Kelly and Beyonce’s manager so he more than likely brokered the deal to have Beyonce appear on the cover the same month as Kelly’s album was due to be released. You mean to tell me he couldn’t have gotten Kelly the cover? Why not? As a matter of fact Kelly’s promotion is non existent. When DC or Beyonce has an album coming out they are all over place. Kelly however is rarely seen or heard. Now I will be honest and say that Kelly is no Beyonce but she shouldn’t have to be. She has a beautiful voice and the DC fan base to build from. All that is lacking is the proper people behind her to see to it that she gets at least half the opportunities at Beyonce does.
I’m sorry if I was Bey I would have taken a step back and let Kelly have the cover regardless of the deal I made before. Kelly needs the publicity. This is just…SMH…VIBE magazine isn’t what it used to be, ya’ll. Take it from someone who’s collected it from its inception and premiere issue with Treach from Naughty By Nature on the cover. It’s just turning into something of a hybrid that’s a combination of The Source and KING magazine. It leans more towards Hip Hop/Rap and for me, is less unisexed (gender-wise) and is more for the guys. Back in the day this magazine was a combo of R&B and HipHop and it was beautiful. It turned me on to so many new artists…The copy I purchased had Akon on the cover. With that one issue I could tell how this magazine has totally changed.
All aside, VIBEVixen is the shiznit. :lol: And Kelly DID cover this magazine but way back when her album should’ve been released the second-first time, I think. :lol:
Beyonce’s interview offered up nothing new, as expected and frankly the images were nothing new either. Kelly’s interview…meh, why mention your competition so favorably 4 and 5 times? :lol: Oh well, I wish her well, but still…this has shade trees all around it.
Kelly’s very pretty and what makes her sexy is that she does it with her clothes on. Kelly’s promo was world wide and babygirl has a hella of a fan base. Like Kelly quote as saying “what’s for Kelly is for Kelly and what’s for Beyonce is for Beyonce” The Vibe cover has been on stands. Please don’t pity Kelly because she’s her own star and the Queen of her own Destiny.
Kelly looks angelic, wholesome and absolutely lovely. I wish she was on the cover, but I have to be honest, her pic wouldn’t sell as many mags as Beyonce’s half-clad, shower-soaked, cleavage revealing pics will.
IMO, Beyonce looks trashy in all but the second to last pic. Sorry folks, she is usually beyond reproach in the beauty department but these wet scenes look like a soft porn movie shown after 10PM on cable.
About the articles, 2 pages is better than none, but I agree with everyone on this post that she should have been given more love since her album is being released and not Bey’s.

Her CD was supposed to be released July of 2006. Well here it is almost a year later and still no real promotion or release date. Everything is on hold for the Queen B. Everything that has Beyonce’s name on it is overly hyped and promoted. From the September release of the B-Day album, to Dreamgirls, to magazine covers, videos and then the re-release of B-Day. For the past year, Beyonce has been constantly shoved down our thoughts because she and Daddy Knowles are so desperate to make her a music icon, the top selling female artist of all time and are chasing after Oscar awards. Well none of that is happening because her career is going to suffer from major over kill and they are trying to hard.
I would love to see Kelly break away from them and her career blossom. The music business has changed and it is all about image, sex and good looks. We all know that Mary J, Heather Headley and so many other black female artist are much more talented when it comes to vocal skills, song writing skills, producing and directing. But because of Beyonce good looks and popularity, her ego is constantly being stroked to make her look like she is multitalented and the best thing since sliced bread. Her songwriting skills are being attacked and don’t get me started on her tired and weak acting skills.
Kelly honey, we are all routing for you to make some changes, take control of your own career and get out of Beyonce’s shadow.

So they wouldn’t have a Brandy situation on their hands their daughter, Solange, married that athlete. She was too young to get married even if she was pregnant. Now they’re getting a divorce. Imagine what great publicity it would have been if Kelly had gotten the cover and a 10 page spread and interview. And in all honesty the timing was in poor taste. I support Bey as much as the next person but how could she have been given the cover the month Kelly’s album comes out? That is just wrong and worst of all it is a total slap in the face of Kelly.
I think kelly is very pretty & should have gotten the cover. Bey & her dad don’t want this poor girl to shine at all..dam shame. I usually like bey’s pics but the first 3 aren’t flattering at all. The pic in white is very nice and the last one is cute.
Because the Knowles family took Kelly in some people just assume Beyonce’s parents love her as much as they love Beyonce and Solange and that just isn’t the case. Family love and look after family first. Mathew is Kelly and Beyonce’s manager so he more than likely brokered the deal to have Beyonce appear on the cover the same month as Kelly’s album was due to be released. You mean to tell me he couldn’t have gotten Kelly the cover? Why not? As a matter of fact Kelly’s promotion is non existent. When DC or Beyonce has an album coming out they are all over place. Kelly however is rarely seen or heard. Now I will be honest and say that Kelly is no Beyonce but she shouldn’t have to be. She has a beautiful voice and the DC fan base to build from. All that is lacking is the proper people behind her to see to it that she gets at least half the opportunities at Beyonce does.
I’m sorry if I was Bey I would have taken a step back and let Kelly have the cover regardless of the deal I made before. Kelly needs the publicity. And I don’t want to hear that it was out of Bey’s control….hell, bey could probably get my electricity shut off if she wanted to. She is a hog!!! :noway:

This is just…SMH…VIBE magazine isn’t what it used to be, ya’ll. Take it from someone who’s collected it from its inception and premiere issue with Treach from Naughty By Nature on the cover. It’s just turning into something of a hybrid that’s a combination of The Source and KING magazine. It leans more towards Hip Hop/Rap and for me, is less unisexed (gender-wise) and is more for the guys. Back in the day this magazine was a combo of R&B and HipHop and it was beautiful. It turned me on to so many new artists…The copy I purchased had Akon on the cover. With that one issue I could tell how this magazine has totally changed.
All aside, VIBEVixen is the shiznit. :lol: And Kelly DID cover this magazine but way back when her album should’ve been released the second-first time, I think. :lol:
Beyonce’s interview offered up nothing new, as expected and frankly the images were nothing new either. Kelly’s interview…meh, why mention your competition so favorably 4 and 5 times? :lol: Oh well, I wish her well, but still…this has shade trees all around it.
Kelly’s very pretty and what makes her sexy is that she does it with her clothes on. Kelly’s promo was world wide and babygirl has a hella of a fan base. Like Kelly quote as saying “what’s for Kelly is for Kelly and what’s for Beyonce is for Beyonce” The Vibe cover has been on stands. Please don’t pity Kelly because she’s her own star and the Queen of her own Destiny.
Kelly looks angelic, wholesome and absolutely lovely. I wish she was on the cover, but I have to be honest, her pic wouldn’t sell as many mags as Beyonce’s half-clad, shower-soaked, cleavage revealing pics will.
IMO, Beyonce looks trashy in all but the second to last pic. Sorry folks, she is usually beyond reproach in the beauty department but these wet scenes look like a soft porn movie shown after 10PM on cable.
About the articles, 2 pages is better than none, but I agree with everyone on this post that she should have been given more love since her album is being released and not Bey’s.

I think Kelly needs to wake up and see that shes never gonna be taken seriously as long as the Knowels manage her career. I think that has to be hard to accept knowing that the people you love and want believe love you as there own, truly dont love her the same…. That being said I also think that the Knowles think Kellys not as good cause shes dark skin. It is Kelly’s own fault that her career is at a stand still and her project is going to go completely unnoticed. She needs to wake up and smell the coffee and realize that if she does not break away from the Knowles family and their management, well then her career is basically over.
Her CD was supposed to be released July of 2006. Well here it is almost a year later and still no real promotion or release date. Everything is on hold for the Queen B. Everything that has Beyonce’s name on it is overly hyped and promoted. From the September release of the B-Day album, to Dreamgirls, to magazine covers, videos and then the re-release of B-Day. For the past year, Beyonce has been constantly shoved down our thoughts because she and Daddy Knowles are so desperate to make her a music icon, the top selling female artist of all time and are chasing after Oscar awards. Well none of that is happening because her career is going to suffer from major over kill and they are trying to hard.
I would love to see Kelly break away from them and her career blossom. The music business has changed and it is all about image, sex and good looks. We all know that Mary J, Heather Headley and so many other black female artist are much more talented when it comes to vocal skills, song writing skills, producing and directing. But because of Beyonce good looks and popularity, her ego is constantly being stroked to make her look like she is multitalented and the best thing since sliced bread. Her songwriting skills are being attacked and don’t get me started on her tired and weak acting skills.
Kelly honey, we are all routing for you to make some changes, take control of your own career and get out of Beyonce’s shadow.

So they wouldn’t have a Brandy situation on their hands their daughter, Solange, married that athlete. She was too young to get married even if she was pregnant. Now they’re getting a divorce. But consumers are sheep. We have been told beauty out ways talent. And you have to be half naked and take on european styles to sale a record. And we believe it.
