Kelly Rowland Album News

With Kelly Rowland’s “Gone” single, which features Nelly, slowly climbing the charts, the singer and her label may feel now is as good a time as any to release her long delayed album.

Kelly took her official website recently to let fans know that she had gone back into the studio to tweak her project and that it is now almost 100% complete.

Miss Kelly’s official statement below…

Hey everyone,

I just wanna first start off by telling you all thank you SO much for being incredibly patient in waiting for the album. The making of this album has been an emotional roller coaster but empowering for me, which you will hear once it’s all done. I’m just taking my time to make sure it’s everything I want it to be. Just an FYI, it is shaping up beautifully! All the producers and writers are passionate masterminds, and I thank them for their creativity! Also, this album is NOT limited, I am not allowing ANYONE to put me in a box, with sound. That’s not where I belong. The album IS consistent sonically and I am writing, creating, having fun, and healing………it’s been a BLAST!!! I wanted to bring you guys up to speed with the album! I love you all dearly! And as soon as I have hard dates on release, trust me you know I got you! KR, xoxo

As many of you may remember, Kelly’s third solo album was due to be released in 2010 but kept getting pushed back after several of its singles failed to chart.

Since then Kelly has been pretty MIA from the music scene, except for a few random guest spots and her recent slow burner with Nelly.

A video for “Gone” has reportedly been shot and is set to debut within the coming weeks.

  1. I live Kelly and I know this album will be great. She probally has been more creative this time around. I know I will enjoy it and I am looking forward to hearing the completed album!

  2. I’m really looking forward to Kelly’s album. I loved her past songs, like Commander, Rose Colored Glasses, & Forever and a Day. I love to see her strong will for remaining as true to herself, thus far, as she can and not allowing the industry to box her into a particular sound or gimmick, sense that’s obviously not what SHE wants. I wish her well.

  3. She should have taken advantage of the time Beyonce took off and dropped her album Beyonce is gonna come hard this year and Kelly always gets forgotten and not to mention Mary J is releasing an album this year too, I hope her the best but I think it is the wrong time. (JMO)

  4. Its so sad that people think that kelly cant compete with Beyaki! Beyaki without a great creative team is shitless. Im sorry i love her because she has the best team in the business but watch out kelly is coming to bat. she aint playing this time around.

  5. I wish her the best of luck, Evil does not prevail over good, so i keep hope that she will come through and her career will go in the directions that she desires.
