Kelly Rowland Shares More Album News

Kelly Rowland Confirms 2017 Album Release

While out promoting her stint on this season’s The Voice Australia, singer Kelly Rowland also took time out to share small bits of news about her new music. During an interview with Sunday Life, Kelly said her fifth solo album would be coming out this year, and that motherhood has played a huge role in the recording process.

“My son [Titan] inspired the whole record in the sense that… just being bold enough to try things I’ve never tried before,” Kelly shared. “He gives me confidence and pushes me to be great, to just throw doubt out the window and go for it. I’ve learned there is no room for fear anymore.”

In addition to the role mommy-hood will play on the album, Kelly says she’ll also be touching on relevant topics of the day. “I think as artists we are really at a crossroads,” Kelly opined. “Now more than ever the world needs love, it needs music that will bring people together. I want to be a part of that and the music on my album will reflect that.”

As for when fans should expect this new music, Kelly was mum, saying only that it would have to wait until she wrapped shooting on The Voice. Season five kicked off last night and features fellow judges Seal, Boy George and Delta Goodrem.

  1. I wish Kelly the best but her time has come and gone. I predict she’ll end up like Mary J. Blige soon enough allowing her husband to manage her career. What happened to all those songs she previewed for fans on Instagram back in 2015? She also previewed a video on Instagram a few months back and the full version has yet to be released. Kelly runs from one singing competition to the next for a paycheck and it’s holding her back. If she wants to be a serious singer she needs to sing and tour. Leave the reality competitions alone and focus on her own career.

  2. Glad to hear Kelly is throwing doubt out the window because she has so much potential, a voice, a story, opportunities, and so on.
