Kelly Rowland Has A Date With Destiny
Well it appears after having the date of her album pushed back by over a year and a half, Columbia Records is finally making plans to release Kelly Rowland’s sophomore effort on June 26th.The album is tentatively title Miss Kelly and features collaborations with rappers Snoop Dogg and Eve . As you all know, Kelly’s first album was released in 2002 and only went gold.The album did however feature the hit single Dilemma with Nelly which garnered the two Grammy awards for Best Rap/Song Collaboration.
Since then Kelly has seen Beyonce release 2 solo albums, a Deluxe Edition album ((Due to be released April 3rd.)) and Solange release and then re-release her debut album, Solo Star.
Here’s hoping Kelly’s album finally does see the light of day.

June 26 is over three months away so that gives them plenty of time to cancel that baby again.I haven’t even heard the first single yet and let’s be real for just a minute here, we all know radio and the media aren’t going to cozy up to Kelly as much as they did Beyonce.Kelly is still considered nothing more than Beyonce’s back up singer.

Unfortunatly, Kelly just does not seem to have the “star” factor that pulls beyonce’s fans in and I think part of that problem has to do with being overshadowed for years by beyonce in destiney’s child. She came from a multi-platinum selling, grammy-award winning duo and she still has no chance of going platinum it seems. She only managed to go gold with her first record. The fact is Kelly just does not garner as much attention as the other females out right now, for instance ciara and beyonce. If Kelly came out of the box, instead of being recognized as beyonce’s over-paid back-up singer it would be a different story. Kelly has a beautiful voice and I really want her to be successful.

I’ve heard about four songs that people are at least saying are album cuts off the album from her website. And it pains me to say but I think it’s gonna be bad. I think it’s gonna sound better than stole but not good for 2007. They don’t spend enough time on getting Kelly’s image and sound together. Plus she doesn’t work with the same people Beyonce works with. Why? I don’t know though.

LADY JESSICA YOU ARE ON POINT BOO! She needs to be under someone that is gonna focus on her and develope her like Matthew does Beyonce. I mena Beyonce says she did the album herself but she has pro’s around her and Kelly gets people that luck up on hits not hit makers like Rodney Jerkin’s and Swiss Beats.

Ok, Lovher, I’ll check those sights later, my job has them blocked. Tamia is another young lady who can really sing her tale off. Amerie has great songs to me but I feel bad that she doesn’t do well. Her latest song “Take Control” is good the video :???: don’t like it. I think Amerie would do well under Jay-z, he did wonders for Mariah. Just a thought :mrgreen:
