In the Works: Singer Kelly Rowland is Writing a Book

According to Billboard magazine, Kelly Rowland is writing a book. While attending the Made in America Festival earlier this month, the Motivation singer reportedly had a short tete-a-tete with writer Niki McGloster, where she revealed plans to make 2017 her year, by among other things, unveiling new music, a new make-up line, a new movie, and yes, even a new book.

The as yet untitled project will be a collaboration between Kelly and her doctor, though it’s subject matter is being kept very hush-hush. “I can’t say much about the book,” Kelly told Billboard, “but what I can say is “I’m writing a book that has not been done before. That’s what I’m most proud of. It was just necessary.”

If this all sounds a bit like déjà vu, that’s because it is. Kelly was reportedly set to write a children’s book back in 2008 and self-help book for young women back on 2012.

As for Kelly’s other projects, the brown skin beauty admits she sometimes bites off more than she can chew, but says fans won’t be disappointed once they see the final results. “The music, the make-up line, the book, it is all a part of who I am and I want to share that with the fans and particularly with women like myself. Everything I’m doing I’m doing for them and I think they’re going to be really proud when they see what I’ve come up with.”

  1. “I’m writing a book that has not been done before.

    Oh, okay.

  2. Kelly is not writing a book. She doesn’t do anything she claims she’s going to do, including making music. Kelly is the epitome of a Jack of all trades, but master of none.

  3. Kelly should have done a fitness line, if she hasn’t already. I said the same for Sheree on RHOA. She’s a fitness buff. Instead of selling old clothes on Ebay, she should have used her fame at the time to partner with a fitness line to gain some income. As a matter of fact, she should still do it. She’s in great shape!

  4. She to scared to out do beyonce. We don’t want to show the the make believe queen she ain’t all that.
