Start saving your coins, Rowland Stones. According to your girl Kelly Rowland, 2017 is going to be another breakout year for her. While attending pre-Grammy festivities over the weekend, the Motivation hitmaker revealed plans to release new music and finally hit the road for her first headlining tour since 2007’s Miss Kelly trek.

During a sit-down interview with Essence Live, Kelly said she’s excited for fans to hear what she’s been working on the past few years. “The music is coming from such a happy place,” she told correspondent Dana Blair. I feel like right now is such an important time for me to express that because I haven’t released music is about 3½ years. I’m so ready. I’m so excited. This is definitely a moment for me.”

Kelly went on to talk about her other ventures, including her book Whoa, Baby!, upcoming stint on The Voice Australia, charity work with Burlington Coat Factory, and her first headlining tour in almost a decade.

“I want this to be a music year for me, Kelly gushed. I’m working with some great people who have great ideas that cover the spectrum of what I want to present to my fans. Lyrics and melodies are just pouring out of me right now. To take all this on the road would be the ultimate gift to everyone whose patiently waited for me to make this project the best it can be.

  1. I like Kelly but she’s not going to tour. She says stuff and never follows through. She released all those previews back in 2015 and never followed through. She released Conceited video preview four month ago with no follow through. She doesn’t follow through on anything related to her music. Only these well past their prime talent competitions does she follow through on.
