The 2009 BET Award nominations were announced yesterday and as expected Beyonce, T.I. and Lil Wayne walked away with the most nods. T.I was nominated for five, as was Beyonce and her Sasha Fierce alter-ego. Lil Wayne was nominated for four and in the surprise of the evening, newcomer Keri Hilson was nominated for four as well. Other Brown Sistas with multiple nominations include Keyshia Cole, Jennifer Hudson, and Rihanna. Jennifer is actually nominated in a singing (Best Female R&B Artist) and acting (Best Actress) category.
This year’s show will be hosted by Jamie Foxx and broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium on June 28th. Performances from Maxwell and Ne-Yo have already been lined up. Hopefully Keyshia, Keri, Jennifer, Beyonce and Rihanna will be asked to perform as well.

Yup, to prove they are selling out, I couldnt get a ticket to go to any of her shows…I finally got to go to Las Vegas, the last venue…and Madison Square Garden sold out in 10 mins the guy at ticketmaster told me when I called to see what the problem was. No lie. She’s selling tickets like CRAZY.

Also, her singles are doing very well with the exception of Diva, she does have the most U.S. number 1s this decade by a female, and as far as worldwide, she Rihanna, and Shakira are tied, according to mediatraffic.de. Just saying… Her success, nor Rihanna’s for that matter, is nothing to laugh at and should be respected by everyone, WHETHER you like them or not. Love Keyshia Cole’s voice, though all her songs are about the same thing, somebody breaking her heart, but performance wise she is a snore. She just doesn’t have that entertainer feel to me, now last time i saw was on her show and she was in the Bahamas-decent at best-im not saying you gotta run around the stage but i don’t know.she’s like Rhianna-i don’t feel that stage presence. I don’t even watch BET anymore because they play the same **** over and over again. It’s always the same artists dominating everything: Beyonce, Rihanna, Ciara, Kanye, Lil’ Wayne, T.I…not to take anything away from any of them, but it gets old. I’ll probably tune in to catch some performances, but that’s it. Everything else is too predictable.

Just like she put out ‘I am” a week later with a couple more tracks, i was like Wow she funny-but i give her this-she know her fans like the back of her hand, she knows they WILL pay for those extra songs. Though this CD physically has 2 discs, to be considered a “double disc” album by the RIAA (Billboard doesn’t recognize double disc CDs in the charts at all), a CD must occupy two discs AND run over 90 minutes. Both versions of Sasha clock in at under 60 minutes. Also, the whole double disc comment is counter to your argument because double disc albums are the HARDEST to sell because of their higher prices. Look at Christina Aguilera’s Back 2 Basics, which only sold 1million because of its double disc statusl.
