Singer Keri Hilson’s new teaser video for her single “Maker Love” has leaked just in time for her to take advantage of all the publicity she is getting.
Keri has been the talk of the internet every since her remix single “Turnin’ Me Off” was said to be about fellow R n’ B divas, Ciara and Beyonce. Keri made peace with one of her rivals last week (Ciara) and is obviously ready to move on and have the focus shifted back to her music.

I hope Kanye is just in the video and not trying to sing or rap in it. That would ruin it. Although, I really don’t see him as a sex symbol. She could have had Brian White (Stomp the Yard), Morris Chestnut, Idris Elba, or anyone else but Kanye.
I have to disagree with truth teller. She’s has a top 20 hit with Turnin’ Me On something Ciara has yet to accomplish with this CD though Never Ever is an amazing record. Her voice is VERY unique, a la early Beyonce with the original Destiny’s Child, though not quite as strong. I do think that if she releases this single, where did he go, or her version of Runaway Love (though that would be a risk) she could crack the top 10. I respect her as an artis and a writer and she is a talent that shouldn’t fall by the way side. also, she has her own unique style to, like Rihanna does (and we all know that without her style, she wouldn’t be the artist she is).

I respect your opinion, but honestly I’m not big Ciara fan. I was just speaking on the fact that Keri walks around acting like shes such a lady, and like shes more than everyone else when she’s not. Ciara may not be in the top spot just yet, but the potential is there, she has worked hard and created a strong fan base. Ciara didn’t gain respect in the industry downing other females.
On Keri having a top 20 hit? So What? Some artist come in the game and get a long running #1 hit and just fizzle, I think anyone that can carry a tune over a catchy beat has the potential of being a one hit wonder, Keri is no exception. She doesn’t have the emaculate talent to be dissing someone, she was compleeetly out of pocket.

I still think people overreacted. I didn’t hear her say any names in the song and people speculated. She could’ve been talking about any artist in the game but naw people had to put Beyonce and Ciara name in it to cause drama. Anyways, the song is okay to me I kind of like the songs she writes for other artist better than she does with her own.

I am one who was upset with her comment and it wasn’t because I felt she spoke the truth. I felt that she was being a hipocrit, and I now feel that she is fake.
Keri can’t even sing that well, who is she to tell a talented black woman to get back. And she is always one to talk about how women are selling sex and how she wants to be known for talent, but look at this video, look at her first video.
Keri is the one who is upset because booty shakin took Beyonce and Ciara somewhere and won’t get her to first base. And I also read that she was referring to Keyshia Cole too, I don’t know if that’s true, but Keyshia hit a home run with her vocal talent alone, Keri Hilson just needs to back back and shut it.
The songs that Keri writes are WACK. They are never singles, the ones that make singles flop. The only song that she wrote that has done well is turnin me on, and let’s be real, the only reason that song didn’t flop is because of Lil Wayne. Keri is a lame and she can’t stand on her own two. Keri Hilson has written several number 1 singles so check her stats before drawing conclusions. Also, her vocal abilities are by far stronger than Ciara, on par with Brandy, Keyshia, and the other greats (yes, brandy, keyshia, beyonce, ciara, kelly price, fantasia, i consider these modern day greats). Likewise, mary j. blige has only had 3 top 10 singles if i’m not mistaken. I’m just saying her accomplishments can’t be discounted. This is all just media sensationalization. NOBODY knows if she was talking about general public, B. Spears, Beyonce, Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger, etc. and i have read ALL of these as possible candidates, two of which aren’t even white. So, give her a break. Her CD might make platinum. Ya’ll never know.

I don’t know who all is going to buy Keri’s CD, I just know I’m not, so she has a fair chance to go platium.
But in my opinion, Keri’s vocals are not stronger than Ciara’s, or atleast she hasn’t shown it. And I’m not just saying this because I don’t like Keri.

I just read up on her, and apparently the songs she wrote for Britney Spears didn’t make the album, and she also released other singles from this CD and they were all major flops. Turnin Me On seems to be her only solo (if you want to call it that) success. And do correct me if I’m wrong.
:thumbsup: I can dig it. I like her music…but I can’t stand her. And I dislike her even more after she tried to play Ciara and Beyonce on that remix. She is nowhere near as good a dancer as Ciara and definitely nowhere near vocally as Beyonce.

When I heard Keri’s verse I didn’t give a rats *** who she was talking about..it was something I could relate to and I still think the verse is fire!
