Keyshia Cole Joins Love & Hip Hop Cast
R&B singer Keyshia Cole is joining the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood. After a bit of back-and-forth with producers, via Twitter, Keyshia announced a deal had been reached to bring both she and her ex-husband (Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson) on board for the show’s upcoming fourth season.
Keyshia previously denied joining the show, telling Hot 97 she “didn’t like the energy” surrounding negotiations. “Things just didn’t feel right,” the Love singer confided to Angele Yee of the Breakfast Club. “I think the show is a great platform for artists if it’s done right; but I just didn’t want to be a part of all that craziness.”
Keyshia’s change of heart is being attributed to producers meeting the singer’s demand for a 1.5 million dollar pay out. Keyshia, however, put a different spin on things via Instagram, saying once she was assured she could be a positive force on the show, she had no problem signing on the dotted line.
Shooting on the new season on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood begins next week with new episodes set to air in June. Keyshia’s previous foray into reality television includes Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, Keyshia & Daniel: Family First, and Keyshia Cole: All In.
