According to Hits Daily Double, LeToya Luckett’s new album is so far outselling both Pharell’s new project, as well as the “Now That’s What I Call Music” compilation disc.Thought not a given, the fact that she is in the lead is a good thing and a usual indicator of who will be in the number one postion on next week’s charts.

If you were wondering if any individual act would ever sell in six figures again, join the club. So it’s reassuring to see an artist finally appear with the clout to knock Now 22 off its perch (although it’s too early to tell for sure).
That would be LeToya, from rapidly heating up Capitol, whose first solo album is rolling toward 175k-185k. This projection gives the former Destiny’s Child member a slight edge for next week’s top chart position over Star Trak/Interscope’s Pharrell, but he’s trending just a whisker behind her at 165k-175k. Adding additional complexity to the situation is the fact that Pharrell has a much bigger presence on iTunes, with both the clean and explicit versions of his album in the store’s Top 10. Combine all that with the durable Now wow factor, and this one’s just too close to call.

I have been rooting for Latoya every since I first heard she was going solo.It will be nice to see someone who was booted from the group make good.A #1 will be a great comeback for LeToya.I hope it happens.
Anybody notice how Beyonce released her single to I-tune and her album for pre-order on I-tunes on the same day Letoya’s album drops? the Beyonce camp just cannot stand to see LeToya’s success so they try to interrupt it every chance they get.
I with you all the way Jackie.Beyonce running in and recording an album in 2 weeks and releasing singles at the same time as Letoya is just questionable.She and her camp most def wanted to take some of the spotlight off of Letoya doing her thing.

I totally agree. I really thought Beyonce had more class than that. A lot of people say she is the hottest chick in the game and is on top but obviously she’s not if she feels the need to sabotage Letoya’s shine. That was not cool especially when Latoya has had nothing but nice things to say about Beyonce and even sells her clothing line in her boutique! Initially I wasn’t going to purchase Toya’s CD but after i read about B’s classless move, i went out and bought 2 and they are worth it. If you haven’t got it please get it!
I have it and I am loving it I went and got it yesterday! She will do well. God is on her side she is positive and she went through enough with Destiny’s Child and Mr. Knowles. The Knowles family look like they are backstabbing people especially Tina she looks like she is evil as hell. Beyonce needs to MAN UP! She’s had success, much success, and a little undeserving if I may add! All those songs Bootylicious, Say My Name, Jumpin’ Jumpin, Letoya and Latavia received a check! So those girls aren’t doing bad themselves and they don’t have to jump all over stage to get paid or travel and do shows they sat around and got their money. And Matthew Knowles had to pay a lot of money for the settlement! Dirty *******!
I am so happy for Le Toya I’m buying her abulm today she has sooooo much more personality than Beyonce. I think Mr Knowles has always known that and wanted to keep Le Toya and Latavia in the background, and now she is solo you can see how down to earth she is, she lights the room up! I love under dogs! GO LETOYA!!!!!!

I am so happy for Letoya, I think she is deserving of it and always talks of God being in the drivers seat, I do feel it is her time to shine. I bought the album and and think it is very good, there is a lot good songs on the album, and I hate to think that Matthew Knowles would do this to a former member, but God has the last word and he is in control not Matthew Knowles. You go Letoya H-town chick.
