LisaRaye Releases Photos Of Her Injuries

The relationship between LisaRaye McCoy-Misick and her estranged husband, The Premiere of the Turks & Caicos island, Michael Misick, has taken another bizarre turn. The actress, who was arrested for assault over the weekend along with her husband, has released photos to Essence Magazine that show her battered and bruised after the altercation with The Premiere. As you all well know, LisaRaye claims that after she entered the home that she and her husband shared on the Turks & Caicos island, her husband attempted to remove her- by any remains necessary, leading her to be airlifted to a hospital and treated for her injuries. And though she was later released the same night, it appears, at least in the photos, The Premiere’s handy work was still quite visible.The actress was seen last night attending Mr. Chow for dinner but didn’t speak about the altercation to the press or give any indication that she had plans to release the photos to the American press.

I don’t care how heated the argument got, they should not have put their hands on each other. It pains me to see her hurting like this. I am I the ONLY one who finds it weird that she released these pics to Essence? Why would she do that? I think by now that the majority of the Black community gets the whole point about the marriage & the cheating/womanizing that surrounds it. So why add to the issue by releasing the photos to Essence. Right now I just think that Lisa is reaching & is trying to extend a pitty party on her behalf. I like LisaRaye and I’m still a fan despite how she is handling her marriage. As a first lady, the public should not see what is going on inside her home. That man is a cheater so either leave him or hold your head high in public and keep your family affairs private.
She knew he was wrong shortly after the wedding vows. If he was unwilling to keep his business out of the streets, then she should have quietly moved into another residence on the island or moved herself back to the states and waited until she could file for a separation and divorce.
I don’t agree with her partying over here while being a first lady. She’s a first lady! Stop the partying and get into charity work or doing something to uplift the nation you represent. My heart goes out to her, no matter what situation or what she’s been through, no one deserves treatment like that. My sending the photos to Essence was a cry for help, and it could be for publicity too. Who knows, whatever it may be, this is still an ugly and unfortunate situation.

People never seize to amaze me. How is her sharing her story with Essence (her people) a desperate move? The people who continue to make this silly accusation should be aware of the fact that there are millions of woman all over the world who live this everyday? Hearing her story may give them the extra push they need to get out of their situation.

My point is that she went into the house w/ drama on the brain. There are more tactful ways that she coulda handled the situation, but she didn’t. Also she was NOT the only one w/ injuries ALL reports have said that her husband was ALSO brought to the hospital for injuries. Hence forth applying to “no one deserves to be hit” theory/rule, Lisa was in the WRONG too. Now as for the cheating & the infedlity(sp?) The Mister is out bad for what he has done w/ Rocsi or whomever & he WILL get what he deserves for his misdoings. But according to what I have heard about this situation Lisa cheated w/ Gary Patton while he was married, so I suppose that she has gotten what she deserves for her cheating ways, meaning her hubby sleeping around.
As for her NOT being “First Lady” material, I cannot speak on that, but I think for the sake of her case, literally, she shouldn’t have been caught partying the way she was prior to this incident. All of that footage will ONLY give her soon to be ex MORE leverage over her in a court of law. All of this being said, Lisa, imo, had NO right bringing those pics to Essence, for the reasons listed above. If that was the case , The mister should bring his photos to a mag too. What I am saying is, she can’t talk about him b/c she is guilty too. As for Essence, no words, the mag has gone down a bit since Susan Taylor has stepped down. Being that Essence knows that Lisa had a part in the incident I feel that the magazine should have remained neutral, but how could I forget… they need to make money too. Either way I always liked Lisa she always seemed to be a down chic… a nice person to be around… you know humble. But after all of this I am REALLY having second thoughts about her character :-( .
