“Love The Way You Lie” Video By Eminem & Rihanna

Back in the day artists would use videos to help propel songs to #1; today however things are just opposite and such is the case with Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie.” According to the latest edition of Billboard magazine, the single has been #1 for 3 weeks straight and has sold over 300,000 copies. This is pretty remarkable considering the video is only just now being released. And despite how much of an Eminem fan I am not, it is no small feat that he doesn’t have to use imagery to sell his music. No doubt the video, co-starring “Transformers” actress Megan Fox and “Lord of the Rings” actor Dominic Monoghan, will help peak even more interest in a song that seems to have struck a chord with both the urban and pop audience.

  1. I’m not to krazy about the song but to each is own

  2. IM Disgusted with her. As a Woman of Domestic Violence. Why would she a make a song about a man who abuses Woman. Im like..Really!!

  3. Christina A. has a nice song, this song is ok and again it would have been major without Rihanna! Right place at the right time as always.

Checkout Christina A. new song You Lost One now that’s nice… Rihanna better hope her looks never run out cause that has and is still playing a major role in her career..

  4. Good song good video. I have heard this ringtone no less than 5 times this week all in random places with random owners of the sound. I think this song is gonna be around all summer long. Congrats to both of them.

  5. Umm did you watch the video, LMAO??? Maybe she along with Marshall Mathers are bringing AWARENESS about domestic violence to the masses. Should she shut up and be quiet or can she use her ‘testimony’ and what she went through to help others on a much grander scale with this music video?

@SISTA, the masses will ride for Eminem until the day he truly hangs up the mic. I’m more a fan of his earlier work. There’s no denying the man’s talent. He came back after being gone; tried to come with the “Slim Shady’ schtick, but quickly changed that up to more serious songs. I see the man, the artist’s maturity growing and I love that about him. But yeah, folk will ride or die hard for M&M forever and ever and ever LOL

For me the song is okay. I like the video and I like, again, the subject matter and how it was contextualized here (including its stars, Princess RhiRhi and Marshall, both of whom have had at least one turbulent relationship in their immediate/not-so-immediate pasts). Good looking out. 🙂

  6. the word is pique, pique more interest. Not peak more interest.

  7. @Kanyade,its people like you that make it unnecessary for me to comment (though i did anyway). I agree with you COMPLETELY!!!

  8. How would have the song been so MAJOR without Rihanna.

Not Afraid peaked at #1 for 1 week on Digital Sales and Hot 100 and failed to have much radio success like LTWYL has. Its over 110 Million audience impressions and has propeled the song to get ready to top the POP CHarts. Something Eminem has yet to accomplish but Rihanna has mulitple times.

The song has made history thanks to the combined forces of Eminem and RIHANNA. OVer 300,000 sales per week for 6 weeks. NO ONE has done that.

    Please research.

  9. Stop fooling y’all self, that song would’ve sold the same without Rihanna because of Eminem!

  10. @ Bored

How many did Not Afraid sale? EXACTLY. lol

Not afraid also peaked at 50 Million Audience impressions. LTWYL 115 Million and increasing everyday.

This is shaping up to be Eminems biggest hit of all his career boo. Over 13 years worth.

What does that tell you? LMAO

Logical Reasoning is something you need to work on. Thanks boo.

  11. I’m an eminem Fan, Congrats to him and Rihanna, The song is really Nice.

  12. @Kanyade

You’re so right…love this song…I give it an A+…music and video…great! Love Em and Rihanna…this was perfect timing and goes to show how God has that ram in the bush for you…to keep her climbing the charts and Eminem as artist of the decade…his reigns continues…this collabo is a great addition…like Alicia Keys and Jay-Z’s blockbuster…

The music slowly, but truly is getting better!

  13. The song and video weren’t made to increase sales or break records. Who cares how much it’s sold or if it would have been a hit with or without Rihanna or if Eminem is artist of the decade (um yeah it’s only 2010 and Em has had been a commercial artist for over 10 years, so…) The point, I believe is to highlight domestic violence and its damaging effects. Both Rihanna and Eminem have been abused and the abuser. Anyone in any type of abusive relationship can relate. And since that’s a whole lot of people, and the song has strong lyrics and a good hook, it’s a hit. Let’s just appreciate the song for what it is and leave it at that.

  14. Love the song. Love the video except for Rihanna’s scene. Hate that freaking red hair and they could have given her a better outfit and scene period. Like her and Eminem should have both been out in the field instead of having that fake burning house. Megan Fox and that guy did a good job though. =D
