Malinda Williams Wins Big

“Soul Food” actress Malinda Williams is today celebrating her Best Actress win at the American Black Film Festival, courtesy of her role in the controversial Russ Parr film “The Undershepherd.”

Malinda plays the role of Cassandra, a woman being abused by her power hungry husband, who also happens to be a pastor (Isaiah Washington).

The film also co-stars Elise Neal, Lamman Rucker and Vanessa Bell Calloway.

Check out a clip of the film below, and congrats to Malinda.

I’m so happy to see Isaiah working again. He is a brilliant actor and was one of the few good brothas in Hollywood who hadn’t completely sold his soul.

  1. Wow! I know this is going to be good! The black church won’t like it. I watch the Lexi Show on youtube, I hope she interviews Russ Parr and cast members. People need to see the truth and corrupt church people, wolves, some, but not all. This is soooooo real!!!
