For those hungering for a soulful ballad from Mariah Carey, a new leak from her upcoming movie “Precious”, may be just what you are looking for. Titled “100 Percent”, the track is said to be written by Mariah herself and produced by longtime collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox.
The leak is only 30 seconds- but like all things MC, is definitely worth a listen.

Mariah, Mary J. Blige and Keyshia Cole need to stop releasing new albums every year because the quality of their work is suffering.
Mary’s last two album have been awful and full of nothing but fillers.
Keyshia’s music is just garbage now. She hasn’t made a quality singles in years.
Mariah’s last album was good but I think she is too busy chasing that Beatles record to pay attention to what she is really putting out.
She is desperate for another #1 single which is why she ran back into the studio so fast. Obsessed was awful and this song is too.
She needs to slow down and think quality over quantity.

Mariah fell off a long time ago. I love all her old stuff compared to all this new stuff she had coming out. She’s still singing about butterflies and charm bracelets and all of that nonsense – her videos are formulaic and predictable. Flicking her hair and posing non-stop – I don’t know what happened to Mariah but she checked out!
I haven’t heard it, but I don’t love Obsessed, it’s not good. She’s Mariah Carey The Mariah Carey, she shouldn’t be doing songs that any chick in the industry does. I know she still has it, come on MiMi, we won’t wait forever.

REgarding that track OBsessed, MAriah has always been a pretty bird with an amazing voice, that is why she can pay attention to EMinen’s nonsense, which might not be fully nonsense cuz they did hava a fling back in the day. He’s wack 4 still bringing it up, but anyway, she can leave now. will always have memories of her voice.

I think Mariah’s career is in a difficult position .If she had kept the same style since the 90s people would have complained that she has never changed, that she is always doing the same thing. The Charmbracelet album was in the continuity of what she was doing back in the day and it has been a flop. I think the best she could have done is waiting before releasing a new album. I understand that she may be disappointed with the sales of E=MC2 but to rush and release a new album that soon is too much in my opinion.
Someone mentioned Mariah’s videos being dull now and I agree. All she does is primp and pose. Back in the late 90s Mariah made the best videos of her career.. Honey, Heartbreaker and all those other joints were amazing. She was probably at the height of her popularity then and was totally killin it. Those songs would all be hits today. I think the producers she is working with are just sloppy and not putting in work. I also agree with whoever said she is rushing her music. Why a new album so soon? I think she and her label want her to get that next #1 so she can tie the Beatles record, something YT ain’t gonna let happen, btw.
Mariah’s is screwing up her own career. She has more than enough support from the fans and media and she’s screwing it up. Emancipation of Mimi is one of the best comebacks in history, and what does she do next, “Touch My Body”. Come on Mariah, you can almost predict her future. She’s about to be Britney 2.0. Shaving her head acting crazy. Get it together girl.
