Mary has been looking good lately. Her fashion sense as always been top notch and the mustard yellow outfit above shows that off quite nicely. From the head band to the dress to the boots, it is very 1960s Jackie-O. :brownsista:

I like Mary, but that yellow hair looks horrible.

Insecure Black women who are generally unhappy with the way they look tend to go for blond hair. Mary’s insecurity is very well known which is why she keeps her hair that color and has so many tattoos. She feels she must have these things in order to be noticed and recognized in a room full of naturally pretty Black women.

Not sure I agree with the above statement. None the less, mary looks stunning in that golden/yellow outfit. Look at her body language. Her hands and her posture look super feminine. She looks like such a lady. Her performance outfit is ok. But overall she looks wonderful. Life is just begining for mary. BTW, I thought she turned 40 years old

Lala what the hell are you talking about? How in God’s name do you know how Mary J. Blige feels inside (or anyone else for that matter) from a hair style? Your comment is ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense. You might want to give blogging a rest because you sound real dumb today.

mary’s looks great!!! I have read some her interviews where she does mention some of issues that she has a far not feeling as pretty as beyonce and hallie. She does mention having a low self esteem and not understanding how her husband could find her attractive. I think it really shows is human and that is why so many women can relate to her. But most of all it shows no matter how many awards, albums, cars, big houses money etc: she is still human. And most people rich or poor feeel the same way its she is more open with her feelings. It doesn’t matter how many people tell you ur beautiful you have to believe it first and foremost. I love her growth what some people may call the “happy Mary” she is showing that you can come from a dark place and find happpiness even while you may still be working on loving you. I would never wish Mary or anyone for that matter to not be happy with ones self. But I dont agree with Lala comment in regards to her hair color and tattoes just so she can be noticed in a room full of beautiful women. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Look at Hallie Berry she is what most white and black america consider be beautiful but she has issues that she is still dealing with.

The Mary J. blonde works. Overall, I’m loving this styling. Early 60s Jackie O. is the business.

Mary J. is MARY J.!!!! Gotta love her. She’s always been real, gritty, and seemingly down to earth. She has shared her personal struggles and character defects with us, and for that alone I give her props. Hey, anybody know anything about this whole scandal with the steroid thing?
