The Queen of Hip-Hop & Soul (Mary J. Blige) has teamed up with the creative director of Gucci (Frida Giannini) to design a watch that will benefit The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), a charity Mary started two years ago with Record Executive Steve Stout. The limited edition timepiece is a variation of the much hyped ‘Twirl” watch, which has the ability to transform from wristwatch to sleek bracelet with a quick flip of the case. Speaking on the collaboration, Giannini said, “Mary J. inspires all of us with her songs and now her commitment to the empowerment of disadvantaged women. We’re proud to support her and her foundations. A portion of the sales from the $1,895 watch (engraved with the words “Gucci for FFAWN”) will go to the organization, which aims to help women bounce back from traumatic experiences and realize their goals through career development and personal growth programs, as well as scholarships.

I love it. Mary is hot, and this is for a good cause. People rarely talk about Mary the fashion icon, but her style is hot. The queen has been consistant. She has evolved over the years and she gets better and better. I wish I could afford one of those watches too:(
