Mary thanked the purple one for joining her, acknowledging how notoriously picky he is about who he collaborates with.
Prince, dressed in canary yellow pants and sporting a new short fro, took up position with Mary’s band while she sang the Chaka Khan classic “Sweet Thing.” The two then performed Sinead O’Connor’s 1990 hit single “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which was written by Prince years earlier for his side-project “The Family.”

I cringed while watching that. Awful. Just awful.
I agree LINZAY. I stopped watching at about the two minute mark. Their voices don’t mesh well together at all and Mary is still iff on stage. I don’t think she was truly comfortable with Prince.
I saw her perform That’s Why They Call it the Blues with Elton John years ago and they killed it.
