I have to give Meagan a round of applause - this chick is producing films and any sista who aspires to last in Hollywood behind the camera is smart. There will always be someone younger, prettier and willing to do more than the next woman so directing, producing and writing films is a sure way to extend her acting career in the industry.

That said, I am sooo NOT feeling that red wig, tramp outfit and hooker boots even if she is on location filming.

[/quote]That’s what I’m saying. She is trying to better herself by taking control of the types of movies she is in. She is smart. Building her own production company is something other actresses like Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrimore also did so they produce their own films. This is a wise move that will pay for for Meagan in the future, especially financial wise.

I’m so proud of my girl Meagan. She’s finally going beyond exspected. I think she’s going to do well. She’s a pretty good actress. Can’t wait to see it.

    GOOD FOR YOU MEAGAN!!!!!

Of course not. It is probably a really dramatic role that doesn’t even have sexual overtones in it. Just because she is playing a lesbian doesn’t mean she will shown kissing a girl or sexing them.

“She was always kinda fresh to me” -exactly, even in Eve’s Bayou-which was great.
I usually don’t like her eyebrows but this is one of those days i do.They look great

First of all: What?? MG’s “good girl” image was lost about 2 King covers and 50 revealing wardrobe choices ago, so I don’t think that she is doing this movie to lose an image that has been lost for years.

About the movie; the plot actually sounds interesting, like something I would watch. MG needs to throw down every ounce of talent she has to pull this role off, because if her previous acting (aside from Brick and Eve’s Bayou) is any indication of what will be seen in Sundays’, then the movie is pretty much screwed right out the gate.

I don’t think Meagan has that kind of talent to pull a role like that off…I hope this doesn’t back fire on her.

Meagan Monique Good cannot act. I know we all remember her from Eve’s Bayou and we thought she would grow up and do promising things. We need to just forget that because her acting skills have not matured and neither have her choices in roles. She was terrible in Miles From Home snd even worse in Brick. She played a bimbo character in those movies as well. Now she is playing a lesbian. The films may be independent but they are as trashy as the big budget movies she be in.

On the other hand, Jurnette Smollet is a wonderful actress and thinks her roles through. No she isn’t as big as Meagan now but that’s because she keeps her clothes on. But in the long run it will be Jurnette who will have the better and longer lasting career.

hey the pic looks a lil lame but good for her, what’s acting for if you’re gonna play similar characters every single time?

The comments by Valid_Statement have been deleted. Crazy fans annoy me and when they come by slinging mud at members for making comments they don’t like they can’t booted from the site.

And there is no need for her fans to keep telling us where the pic came from. When the photo is enlarged it clearly tells you the pic is from the first independent film she produced, Miles From Home. As Debra stated, the pic above is for reference purposes only.

I originally started to use an outtake from her upcoming Vibe photoshoot that I have, but decided to use a pic from her previous independent movie, seeing as though that is what this post is about.

We’ll at least she’s finally challenging herself to take on different roles, I guess she wasn’t ready to make a change in the past and that’s why she probably felt safe playing the characters she’s use to playing. She got sick of playing the “bimbo” roles and is now making drastic changes, if she wants to be a true actress. I also applaude her for taking one step further and produced her own film because you know how it is in hollywood now for black and white actresses. She’s ready to be taken seriously now. Good luck

Meagan is in the same realm as Jennifer Lopez and Halle Berry. Each is relatively attractive but has little to no real acting skills. Meagan better stay posing for KING cause unlike Halle and Jennifer she has nothing else to to offer the public that is even mildly interesting.

Meagan is really pushing herself and striving for the best in the bussiness. People don’t understand it hard for her always being typecast in movies as the “pretty” or “ghetto” girls in movies and now she wants a challenge. She one of the few smart actresses out there who actually start their own production company. I have to say this women inspires and encourages me so much as a young black women and aspiring actress. Yall got to give her props she has come a long way. Go head girl, do u!!

Meagan Good is more than her name suggest, it takes heart and talent to do what she has done, her body of works speaks volumes, who are we to attempt to destroy all that she has achieved, when more than likely we have never done or been brave enough to challenge ourselves to the extent that Meagan has, kudos Meagan, keep living your dream!!!
