Meagan Good doesn’t seem to sweating the cancelation of “Deception,” her first starring role on network television. Since its demise back in May, Meagan has landed three movie roles, including her latest: “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” due to hit movie theaters on December 18th.
Meagan recently started doing promo for the film, and one of her first stops was to the studios of Complex magazine, where she recently shot a gorgeous 1970s inspired photo shoot.
Meagan dons a colorful Farrah Fawcett-esque wig, hot pants and roller skates for her shoot, which she called “her most fun to date” via Twitter.

Meagan on her ‘Anchorman 2’ character Linda Jackson: “Linda Jackson is Ron Burgundy’s boss. She is one of the first black women to be the head of a news station like that, and a network like that. It’s very interesting, because this takes place at the end of ‘70s and the beginning of the ‘80s, so he’s never seen anything like that. Initially, I just think he’s an idiot; I don’t care for him, they’re at odds with each other. During the duration of the film, she realizes that she’s finally met her equal in this crazy, silly guy. That is kind of the turning point where she starts to go, “This is the one who will stand up to me, and will tell me what he thinks, and will do all the intimidating things I tell him to do—maybe there’s something there.”
Meagan on how her sexy image eventually backfired on her: “When I got into my 20s, I was fighting for people to see that the little girl from Friday and Eve’s Bayou wasn’t a little girl anymore. That’s why my career took the “sexy” turn. By my mid-20s, it had backfired. I was always playing the sexy roles. It was hard for me to be taken seriously as a good actress. I had to fight my way out of that box that people put me in.”
