Despite having a reputation as a party girl, actress Meagan Good still continues to make movies at a break neck pace. The 28 year old California native recently completed principle shooting on not one but three movies. “Video Girl,” “Dysfunctional Friends” and “35 and Ticking” are all independent films that Meagan not only acted in but in some cases had a hand in producing as well. Because these films are not big budget productions with publicity machines behind them, the public thinks Meagan isn’t working, when in actuality she is working more than ever.
And another little side project the actress worked on recently was her cover shoot for LOV Magazine. We posted a few behind the scenes shots a few weeks ago but now the full cover has been leaked.

The straight to DVD market is what made Vivica Fox a millionaire, she said so in Sister2Sister magazine. We like to knock that stuff but with straight to DVD you get to make any kind of movie you want and not be bound by Hollywood which only greenlights stuff like Madea, Boyz n Tha Hood and Soul plane.
^^^I like what you say about being bound by what Hollywood decrees. This is true. I just wish the caliber of these straight-to-dvd features would upgrade. But it is what it is and there is an audience for all.
As for Miss Meagan, I will Netflix these features to support her. I do wish she’d get more roles and NOT just as the girlfriend or the black friend sidekick. Megan has acting talent and big-time Hollywood is missing out.

I’m familiar with that Vivica article, and that certainly inspired me with getting into acting. I’m not after an oscar or a big pay cut. Its something I enjoy and am working on getting better at, so independent films would be great to play around with and try some interesting roles.
