meaning.

Cyber-Hugs Brown Sister Fam.

In light of the tragedy that has happened to Jennifer Hudson; we all can learn an immediate lesson from it and that lesson is that tomorrow is never promised. And trust. GT is just as sad, angered and shocked that there are people on earth that continue to be so cruel. But tomorrow is never promised is real talk. How can we give that truth more meaning and less lip service? Well for starters we can say I love you daily to our loved ones, we can share a hug, a passionate kiss, adopt a pet, write a poem, see a movie together, eat lunch with our best friends, wink at the bus driver, write in our journals, forgive someone, go for a long walk, take an even longer bubble bath, sing in the shower, cook a meal, watch “The Color Purple”, and cry.

Brown Sistas and Fellas. Name one thing we can do to give our lives more meaning?

  1. Well my wife is working overnight tonight. My two year old son and three month old daughter are sleeping with me tonight. I feel like I have to watch them even closer because like you said tomorrow is not promise. I can’t imagine what Jennifer is going through. My mother means the world to me if there was a Mother-of-History award it would go to her. We had a family member go to jail at the age of 17 May of 2006 for a murder that wasn’t properly investigated. He has been sentenced for a life sentence on April of 2008. It has torn my family apart inside and out. Dealing with a tragic situation is never a good thing but you become a stronger and smarter person in the end.

  2. :iagree: Jennifer has lost her mother, a person’s strength and support structure. I think forgiveness is the most important. Being angry and bitter leads to nothing but sadness and we miss out on the chance to tell that person how we really feel even if they’ve hurt us. To all brown sistas out there. Forgive those who have hurt you and set you and that person free

  3. Love each other as He loves you.

  4. We are going throught it-this nation. Her tragedy is everyone’s and I don’t know a person Black or white who isn’t talking about it. Between her and Obama and I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. We must all remain in prayer over the next couple of weeks for her and Obama. This is test for them both and we must continue to pray the lord will grant both peace and much needed support. At this time in our nation, we are going through major changes and we just need to continue treating every person like it is there last day. We never know what the day will bring. Peace and love to everyone and Let’s get ready to rumble on Nov 4, 2008-the day the earth stands still….lmao. To Jen and her family-much prayer….and love….hold on ….

  5. Life becomes more meaningful when we come to the understanding that Life is a gift.

  6. Morning, y’all!

I think believing in yourself can give you meaning. I haven’t always believed in myself, it took me a while to get here. I absolutely had meaning before I all-the-way  believing in myself. I just have more meaning now. I understand myself (and others) much better.

Poor Jennifer Hudson… I feel so bad for her. She lost damn near all her family. Her nephew is STILL missing. This world seems to be eating itself alive. But I don’t believe that everyone is bad or that there aren’t any more good and decent people around. There are.

The animal that killed her family does not happen to be one of those good people. I’m keeping her in my thoughts and I hope they find her nephew safe and sound.

  7. I just now saw where the Associated Press is reporting that the Chicago Police have found the deceased body of a young boy inside a parked SUV. As of yet, the police have not identified the body and have no futher comment at this time.

  8. I believe that we could not confront someone as harshly when we need to discuss a situation that we may feel needs to be addressed. Sometimes we don’t have to be as unforgiving, but we can forgive people who we think have done us wrong. And telling someone that you love them or just let them know you appreciate them or are proud of them will do wonders for us because as you said, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Like my Pastor always says, pen the flowers on me now, don’t wait until I am dead and then say nice things about me or send me flowers because I won’t know anything about it. Thank you for this posting.

  9. Slim Thug I heard the same thing about a deceased body being found in an SUV and that they transferred it back to the police lab to determine who it is. This is so sad. We have to keep praying for the violence to stop.

  10. They just stated that they found the boy in his uncles van on the West side of Chi town-what a loss. I mean do you know how personal this killing was? It was meant to tear them a part and leave none of them -or barely none of the family. Then, they are saying the boy “appears” tortured. super personal only someone close to the family would spend time torturing a child. Her ex will have a hard time saying he won’t talk to the police any further. They will plant him under the jail in Chicago…. a triple murder and a w/a child! No telling how long the child was in the truck but they will find out. I looked at the Chi town news and they towed the van with the body, they wouldn’t move it out the truck because they wanted every piece of evidence from that scene…….She has lost three people in 4 days! It is only her sister and her left-period…….

  11. :noway: Stop dating, having babies with, and celebrating THUGS!!!!!

  12. Start praising and glorifying God, and stop idolizing man and material things.

Wake up praising God for what you DO have, oppose to what you don’t. If you have loving/caring family members and friends, then you are very fortunate. If you have your health/strength, then you are very fortunate. If you have a roof over your head, food, clothes, etc, then you are very fortunate. If you have a job that you can wake up to (even during these tough times in America – and the world at large), then you are very fortunate.

My sincere condolences to Jennifer Hudson and her family!!!!!

    Lord, help us all!!!

  13. I make it a point to pray over my family and friends. I’ve been praying for Jennifer and her family since I first heard of this. You are right, tomorrow is never promised. I thank God at night for giving me another day and I just pray that he continues to bless me with more to come.

I think we can take this time to tell everyone you love, that you love them. Like the saying goes, give them their flowers while they are still living not dead.

  14. AS FOR ME I TELL PEOPLE ALL THE TIME I LOVE PEOPLE FASTER THEN I HATE THEM..TO ME PEOPLE HATE OTHERS FASTER THEN THEY LOVE ..THATS WHY PEOPLE SAY I ONLY CARE ABOUT MINES WHEN INFACT YOU ARE SUPPOSE THOSE AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF

  15. Well i lost my mother in 2003 of cancer. Im happy that she invest us to live my life and be the best mother to my daughter. When i heard about jennifer i was so shock because she in this new movie and just got engaged now this happen to her. I was with a girlfriend over the weekend she said you life is WORTH alot more then what it is. I was like wow she is so right. So live, love and laugh.

  16. To give our life more meanings?

Pray and hold on to your faith no matter what, because the devil is busy and if you let him take your faith away from you, he won

  17. To give our life more meanings?

Stop dating, having babies with, and celebrating THUGS!!!!!
:iagree: so much with you! Dont even date men with tempers, that julia girl will not tell me that before all of this happens her husband was a sweetheart i don’ t care about innocent until proven guilty crap, this is an execution! so somebody must have own some money to someone, or somebody double crossed someone, or somebody was plain old crazy, I feeel so sooo so damn sorry for jenifer that shoes made me cry and i’ m not even a sensitive person, i’ m hurt beyond word, and whoever did this better kill themselves because in jail they will get handle properly don’ t nobody kill an innocent person let alone a child

  18. To give our life more meanings?

and i’ m a fervent christian, the only person jennifer and her sister should forgive is themselves, because i know how guilt trip can affect a person, they need to know that it’ s not their fault that someone can be f-ing deranged enough to slain an entire family, like someone said this was meant to tear the family apart, which make me think that monkey *** husband of julia did it, i also hope like sade jennifer doesn’ t lose her love for music after this tragedy.
God bless and protect them. I bet Julia was singing “if his status aint hood i aint checkin for him” i wanna hear her and those sorry asses trifling sorry excuse for women now, why would you even get involved with someone that resort to killing, hitting, or even threatening to solve their issues?I know i sound harsh but i’ m pissed off,i’ m angry and i’ m hurts because WHEN it’ s proven that that william piece of crap is the killer, we will all know and discuss how this slaying could have been avoided …

  19. Normally, I like these questions, but I can’t even focus on an appropriate answer today. I’m so hurt over the things going on with J Hud’s family. I’m praying for her constantly! She can’t be coherent right now.

  20. Trust and believe in God and give him the glory because he is truly worthy. Never go to bed mad at each other and never leave the house without saying good bye and I love you. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone of us.
May God Bless and give strengh to the Hudson family and friends during this terrible time of sorrow….

  21. “Name one thing we can do to give our lives more meaning?”

    Give/share.

Being unselfish and devoting time helping others and listening to others can really make a difference, not only in someone elses life but in your own.

  22. Thank you to all the Brown Sistas and gents who have shared their prayers and sentiments regarding Jennifer Hudson’s Tragedy. Gt is numb; especially when I think about her seven year old nephew. But having faith in things unseen is the order of the day.

    GT

  23. rainywaters~I GO HARD FOR THE GAME!

I think one think we could do for ourselves is breathe more and take 10 to 15 mintues everyday to just close our eyes and just slow down and breathe. i know it might sound corny but we really need to get in tune with our feelings

  24. ******** Attention, y’all; you too “Misty Knight”. This is off subject, but we all need to be careful when we vote. The state of New Mexco is allowing early voting, OK? Now. A lady in New Mexico showed up at her local polling place to vote yesterday; she was wearing a t-shirt that said “Obama” and had a picture of Barack on the front of it. The polling people turned her away and didn’t allow her to vote because that is considered campaigning in favor of a candidate; that is against the law if it is done within 100 feet of any polling place. So if you’re going to vote early, or if you’re going to wait for election day, please don’t wear anything having to do with Barack… a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, a button, etc. They’re getting ready to start, good people. Barack Obama haters are going to do everything they can think of, legal or otherwise, to block Barack from becoming the next president. Please tell all of your friends. This very serious business, y’all.

  25. You have to find your center. You have to find your peace. You have to meditate on God! That’s it. That is all we can do. I had a morning from HECK and now I am on top of the world. I trust Him!
