Melanie’s Album Release Party

R & B soulstress Melanie Fiona celebrated the celebration of her debut album “The Bridge”( In Stores Now) on November 19, 2009. The launch party was held at the paparazzi hotspot Mr. Chow’s in Beverly Hills, California. Brownsistas such as Gabrielle Union, and Toccara Jones attended the event. This girl is so bad she performed some of her leading singles acapella for all her guests. Congratulations to the talented and unique Melanie Fiona.

*Sidenote*: I just picked up her debut album yesterday. It’s good but I often felt like she was holding back on some songs. However, my favorities are Give It To Me Right, Monday Morning, and Bang Bang.

  1. I wish her well, I agree she holds back a bit, but what she does is awesome! Unfortunately, singers like her are told to tone it down to have a wider appeal. Raphael Sidiq produced some of Ledisi’s tracks and had her to sing with less power and force to better blend in a bland and overly commercial music market!

I hope she performs at the Grammys!

    Go Melanie!!!

  2. Melanie is the business. Girl can blow on some real. Check out Monday morning live on youtube with the roots. Also whatsup with Algebra Blessett that girl is bad too!

  3. Some of the songs she recorded she should have shelved. I like about 4 tracks though.
