It’s an Obama double dose. President-elect Barack Obama and soon-to-be First Lady Michelle Obama both grace the cover of the new issue of Essence magazine, on newsstands December 12 — and ET was given a first look. The Obamas’ incredible campaign and historic victory get a 56-page tribute in the January issue, featuring the images, thoughts, dreams and perspectives by some of today’s foremost writers and photographers. An extensive timeline which follows Barack from a young child to the present is included, and the first couple’s daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, are also profiled, as they will be the youngest residents of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave since Amy Carter.

I very recently got into an internet argument with an individual, who has a meatball for a brain, who said that Michelle Obama ain’t all that. I told the idiot that I think she is. I mean, just look at her! She is stunningly beautiful… even sexy.
Now this is an issue I might have to actually BUY (instead of reading at the bookstore) and KEEP.
Love these two, so happy for US and for our country.

I will definitely buying this issue. I can’t get enough of these two because they are history in the making. They are both a beautiful couple and I love black love because it like no other.
I have a subscription to Essense but I’m still going to buy copies to be “untouched” and collected because with the holidays being here and family coming, their hands will be all over the sent issue.

What a power couple. They seem so madly in love. It just goes to show if you work as a team things can happen. You can be who you are and have your own things going on and still be apart of a team.

It’s amazing to me. How this lady really is an icon and she is about to be what I definatly hope is not the last to be the first black lady as the first lady. That is just amazing to me. And she did not grow up to far from me minus a bus and a train. But what amazes me more is that you can put a celebrity on here and they will get a million hits and it’s usually the same thing that they do over and over and yet this lady and gentlemen and in less than a month the President and First Lady has not even crakced 3o comments. That is just absolutly crazy to me.
