Michelle Williams Has A #1 Dance Hit

Michelle Williams Michelle Williams must be feeling pretty good these days. According to Billboard Magazine, the singer has a modest hit on her hands as the remix version of her single “We Break The Dawn”, which features Flo Rida, is sitting pretty in the #1 position on the Hot Dance Airplay chart. Michelle’s new album, appropriately title “Unexpected”, is due to drop August 12th. However if you are itching for more of what Michelle has already offered, two new dance tracks from her new CD have been made available online. Private Party and Hungover both aim to keep the party going and are pretty decent songs. Hungover has a very urban feel- very J-Lo-ish with a bit of Amerie thrown in, while Private Party reminds me of We Break The Dawn, but with the electronic sound made popular by Britney Spears’ “Blackout” album.

  1. I like the 2nd song “Hungover” that should be her next single. I wish her the best. Just watching her video “We break the Dawn” you can see how much confidence she has and I’m glad to see it!

  2. So she’s back to doing secular music? I didn’t know that.

  3. I`m really happy for Michelle. The first thing she needs to do, and I`ve said it before, is fire that “fraud” Matthew Knowles. She needs a manager who will put their best effort into trying to make sure she gets heard. It`s pretty obvious that dude is negligent when it comes to fulfilling his duties as a manager when it comes to her career. In fact, imo, she should sue him for as much and cut all ties. Afterall, “what has he done for her lately” as Janet asked? Drop that dude like a hot potato is what I`d recommend.

Of the two songs I`m feeling “Hungover” more. She also has another song that has leaked from her CD entitled, “The Greatest”. I absolutely LUV that song. As of now it`s my fav by far. It`s a very touching ballad with great lyrics and Michelle exhibits such a wonderful voice. The vocal arrangements were definitely on point. For anyone who`s interested the song is posted on YouTube and I can assure you you`ll luv it after the first couple of bars.

“She`s Out Of My Life” by-MJ

    She`s out of my life
    She`s out of my life
And I don`t know whether to laugh or cry
I don`t know whether to live or die
And it cuts like a knife
    She`s out of my life

    It`s out of my hands
    It`s out of my hands
To think for two years she was here
And I took her for granted I was so cavalier
Now the way that it stands
    She`s out of my hands

So I`ve learned that love`s not possession
And I`ve learned that love won`t wait
Now I`ve learned that love needs expression
    But I learned too late

  4. Hey Brown Sista…could you please take those too songs off…alot of her album has been leaked….that would be coo if u could help her out and take them off

  5. This girl will always be in Beyonce’s shadow….sorry to say but it’s true. Her and Kelly both.

  6. “I`m really happy for Michelle. The first thing she needs to do, and I`ve said it before, is fire that “fraud” Matthew Knowles. ”

    I cosign that
and THug your daily lyrics works on my nerve 🙂

  7. @Sho ya right why she have to be in beyonce shadow. Kelly is the one that in beyonce shadow. Just support stop comparing them. Like Smooth Criminal said if they had a different manager and more promotion she be as good as any other female artist. Im going to support her.

  8. Congrats to Michelle! I love her spitfire spirit. 😆 She’s feisty and spicy and I wish her the best with this record. 🙂

  9. what a paradoxical irony… i knew it was only a matter time of before she realized her viability as a non-christian singer… They all do.

  10. Let’s face it. Michelle isn’t cute enough. There are too many really pretty singers out there today that can sing just as well, if not better than, Michelle. So her days are limited. The best thing that she and Kelly could have done was to sign a contract with Beyonce which prohibited Beyonce from ever dissolving the group (’cause I mean we know that’s what happened there)…. l0l. Nevertheless, I wish her well.

Why do you have to judge them by Beyonce. Judge them for their self. Beyonce is okay she is not the greatest entertainer to ever live. Have you even listen to any of their music before you go and put them down. I mean really this is just getting silly the power you all give that young lady.

Is it possible that we can be happy for all of them. These is what caucasions do. They try always just have one black female that is hot and push her in our faces over and over and this time it’s Beyonce. She is an average singer and performer. So get’s get over it and allow others to shine as well.

  12. @ShoyaRight:

I think you just don’t like the other two women from that group. Your statements are rather childish. Because you feel they aren’t as pretty as Beyonce they shouldn’t sing and live out their dreams as well. That’s just silly. Listen too or really read what you are saying. You are saying that they shouldn’t do what they love because what they aren’t pretty enough. Do you know we would not have had most of the great singers that we got in the past if we had judged them by the standards that we live by today.

  13. the negative people that have obviously nothing nice to say should just find another story to comment on, i mean what are you doing in your liffe that makes you so the ish? this girl (excuse me WOMAN) is following her passion which is to make music that people like and can relate to and it’s the naysayers that have fueled her to bring an unexpected twist this time around. she has what most entertainers lack which is a personality. being an entertainer only last for so long but a true personality will always live on. 14. If your going to critique my post, please read it carefully before doing so. I didn’t say I didn’t want Michelle or Kelly to do well or that I wanted them to stop singing. I actually like Kelly’s hit songs. I was just stating that the masses are not really going to give Kelly and Michelle what they have grown accustomed to beside Beyonce, in terms of praise, sales, etc. I’m not condoning the reality that prettier artists tend to fare much much better than others, I’m just stating it. So don’t go hating on me…. but if you do, I won’t lose sleep.

  15. @Sho Ya Right:

No one is hating on you. What does that even mean. You need to read your own comments. There was nothing in your comments that was flattering nor states how much you enjoy these two young women music. Who cares what society thinks. Obviously they don’t because they are still going on to do their thing. The reality of it is Kelly is actually a bigger star over seas than Beyonce is. It is her own country that won’t give her a chance.

What you said is: Let’s face it.

Thise are your direct words. You also said this: This girl will always be in Beyonce’s shadow….sorry to say but it’s true. Her and Kelly both.

Those are your direct quotes. And I personally don’t think they are in Beyonce shadows. They are carving their own niche’ out and doing their thing. But I would recommend that you read your own quotes because there is nothing in your words that state that you like, care for, nor respect these two young ladies.

    Kelly & Michelle

    YES YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Bria, you quoted me, but proved absolutely nothing. Frankly I don’t care a rats a$$ what you think of them or my comments…lol. But, thanks for letting me know for a second (or third time).

  17. Kelly’s not that big over seas. I just returned stateside after living in London for a year and I assure you, I didn’t hear Kelly on my radio or see her on my tele. I’m not saying that I don’t like her, because I do. I loved her last album where she infused a lot of go-go into her music. And being a DC girl, I definitely appreciate that. But she’s not some mega star overseas. Sad but true.

  18. I’m not really feeling “Hungover.” Maybe it has to grow on me. I’ll listen again and see.

  19. @Sho Ya Right:

Sweetie it’s not that serious. Those where your words and I just used them to prove a point. But it’s not that serious were curse words have to be used. Nor the tone of animosty is not necessary. We don’t have to get that angry over people we both don’t know. So I will leave you alone because you are apparently not use to conversing with adults.

    @Capital Peach:

Then tell that too all of those awards she keeps winning over there. Why can’t we just let this girl be the star that she is.

  20. Bria child, this is not high school, although I wouldn’t doubt that you’re still in one. So how about directing your comments to the featured stars instead of trying (and I do mean trying) to critique my post. Get ya weight up.

  21. Congrats to Michelle. Michelle has always seemed more grounded to me and I am not surprised that she was strong enough to ensure her business was being dealt with properly. Unlike Kelly who seems way too laid back and trusting that she sometimes angers me. Kelly is starting to shine though. They really messed up her promotions for the past few years but I think she is starting to do her thing. Getting more confident on stage and doing every gig she can find.

  22. Kelly is not in beyonce’s shadow she is also on mathew’s[ the one beyonce’s sign] paycheck
i do believe that michelle stand more for herself than kelly does that’s why she was down played in the group on favor of kelly because she is a kiss butt that’s my opinion i could be wrong not that i would care

I lived in paris for a while back in the days and
i know that people from there and the uk loved them some kelly still do since she is nominated on every possible award…

The problem with Americans is that they believe that their country is the beginning and end of all which is why they set people up to failure …

For example so many are quick to enlight rihanna’s poor sales in this country in a desperate effort to down play her success, but please make some research over seas and out of this shallow and closed minded country
everyone has their shot at success that include ashanti, solange, kelly and all those girls people love to hate to favor their idol .

I”m sure “unexpected” will do fine overseas, i doubt the united states population have some room
for a chick that doesnt fit their criteres of beauty

    c’est la vie

Michelle know ima buy the album
And that’s the end of it

  23. i like all the dc girls but kelly is not bigger overseas than beyonce. that’s just not true. kelly is more popular in like the u.k than the u.s.a now that is true. beyonce performed in like 30 different countries and had a very successful tour. that’s just your opinion that she is an average singer and entertainer but many would disagree. like her or not beyonce has way more fans who support her than kelly and michelle.

i know i am buying michelle’s album but are any of you? a lot of people complain about michelle and kelly sales but they dont support. just go out and buy the album without hating on the other members.

  24. I went to Paris last year and saw Beyonce plastered all over the city like it was NY or Texas or something. That girl is everywhere.

  25. I’m not saying that this is the way it should be, but if you for one second think that Kelly is bigger than Beyonce in Europe, then you must be living in a dream world. Kelly is hot in the UK, but she’s still not bigger than her former group mate. That’s just the truth.

  26. LMao Ouais c’est ça ouais! Paris de ta carte postale
    Nyway
    Congrats To michelle
but god do i hate the mix of “we break the dawn”

  27. I hope Michelle does well. I will definitely be buying the album when it drops.

  28. the problem with the media in the USA is that any artist who doesn’t have a solid fan base are played down. you notice how many critics adore these singer/songwriters recently. but alas, their looks and their lack of fanbase don’t give them a chance against the already set artists.
