Michelle Williams Unveils ‘Say Yes’ Cover Art

MICHELLE WILLIAMS SAY YES

Singer Michelle Williams has unveiled the artwork for her “Say Yes,” single, officially available for pre-order via iTunes today.

An unauthorized version of the single, which features Michelle’s Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Beyonce Knowles, was leaked last week.

The single, a reworked version of a popular Nigerian gospel song, hit the web and quickly garnered Michelle’s rave reviews from several prestigious music bibles, including Rolling Stone and Billboard.

Michelle called the tune one of her favorites via Instagram, while also imploring fans to wait for the official version, which she said would be more “polished.”

Whatever the case, the song is hot, and I personally love it.

  1. Kudos to Michelle, she is coming with it for her new album. Although I have all of Michelle’s solo albums, I’m never counting down for her releases. However, with these three wonderful songs that Michelle has thus far released from her new album, Journey to Freedom, I am sooo excited for it to drop. This remake of “Say Yes” originally a Nigerian gospel song is AMAZING! Kelly and BK’s addition on the song takes it over the top, especially Kelly, with her beautiful tone. Michelle has something on her hands with this new project, with If we had your eyes, Fire and Say Yes, Michelle is on her way to hitsville, hopefully. Gotta love the positivity, and Yes, Jesus!

  2. Wow!!! I have to say this is going to be quite a hit. Michelle not only brings her voice to the table with amazing beats and her Sista crew, but Jesus! I love the new song and looking forward to hearing more from her on her new album and in the future.

Amazing talent and truthful verses of song! Sounding fresh and alive it makes you want to get up and dance.

Something different and new. I must applaud on a job well done.

  3. Love & support their longtime friendship before Destiny’s Child, in Destiny’s Child, and Post Destiny’s Child.

It’s definitely better than the women-can’t-work-together-as-a-team & the-jealous-bitter-women narrative many in the small time & the big time media business love to support.

Love the song already, and I can’t wait to enjoy the video as well. It has already become my second go-to song to dance to after something awesome happens in my life.

I hope the ladies bring it with some dancing. “My God is a Great God” has been my #1 go-to song to dance to when my dreams come true largely because of Bro Franklin going off to it during offering time.

  5. I’m excited to see them back together doing something, even if it is just one song.

I’ve always been a big fan of Michelle’s, but I agree with Kim that I’m never really counting down the days to her new release.

These last few songs have definitely got me excited about her new release.
