Michelle Williams Visits the Breakfast Club

Singer Michelle Williams stopped by New York’s Power 105.1 Breakfast Club show earlier this week to do a bit of promo for her just released album ‘Journey to Freedom.’

Michelle touched on quite a few topics, including the singer’s non-existent feud with fellow R&B diva Keyshia Cole (so old, the media need to let it go already), her bout with depression and her upcoming gospel-inspired reality show ‘Fix My Choir.’

Michelle kept it classy as always, and surprisingly, Charlamagne Tha God was actually polite.

Check out the interview below and look for ‘Fix my Choir’ to debut November 5 on Oxygen.

As for ‘Journey to Freedom,’ the album is predicted to sell about 10,000 copies in its first week.

  1. I just bought Michelle’s new album, Journey to Freedom. The first half of her album, mixes faux hip hop (auto-tune) & rnb production with EMI. I’m not so fond of the first part of the album, but the later half picks up with more organic production, which is what I like. Songs that I like are: Beautiful, Believe in Me, Fire, If We Had Your Eyes, which now features Fantasia and Say Yes with BK and Kelly. Overall its a good album, however I wish the production was better as some of it doesn’t fit Michelle’s raspy voice. I wish there was more rnb sounding productions and more ballads. Michelle worked with Harmony Samuel on the whole album. He also produced Fantasia’s last album, which musically was more diverse… Nonetheless, I wish Michelle all the best…I’m so happy she stays true to herself (lyrically) and always gives us positively. BTW, The pictures in the booklet are beautiful.

  2. I am on my way out the door to get my copy! Got to support our talented sistas. Go Michelle!
