Minority Report Ratings

Minority Report Ratings for it’s Pilot Episode Were Soft

MINORITY REPORT RATINGSFox’s new sci-fi drama Minority Report got off to a pretty shaky start last night. According to TV by the Numbers, the show’s pilot episode drew a disappointing 3.1 million viewers, and an even more disappointing 1.1 demo within the advertiser coveted 18-49 age group.

It should be noted that the show’s pilot episode leaked almost a month ago. I can’t say whether that had an adverse affect on the show’s premiere episode, but it definitely could have.

The sad part, is that those who saw the leak said it was vastly different than the episode they saw last night. I actually got to watch a sanctioned copy Fox made available to the press, and that one was different than the leak and the episode that aired last night.

Hopefully the show will get a boost when DVR numbers are reported on Thursday. I enjoyed Minority Report and thought Meagan Good and Stark Sands made an awesome duo. The show appeared to be a hit with fans on social media, as it was still trending on Twitter six hours after it aired.

Tumblr fans also appeared to like the show, and fanart of Meagan has already popped up. Let’s hope Fox is in a somewhat accommodating mood and allows Minority Report to at least finish out its season.

  1. Low ratings aside, I enjoyed the episode and look forward to more. I love how the “villain” or whom I assume to be the villain was shown in this episode. I quit Tumblr, but I’m tempted to search for imagery. I’ll definitely be hitting up some fanfiction. 🙂

  2. I hope the show stabilizes and gets a second season. A Fox press agent said they expect the show to gain several million viewers and garner a 2.0 once DVR totals are released.

  3. Kanyade, you read fan fiction? By who? I’m a big Fan of Sleepy Hollow fanfiction.

  4. Finally, I have found others like myself. I love Sleepy Hollow fanfiction and have read more stories than I care to admit. I have an entire BEST OF list I am always willing to share. I am presently reading “The In Between,” and it is very good. I’m subscribed to quite a few fics actually, but this one tends to stand out the most to me.

  5. i’ll give it 2 more episodes, im just not a meagan good fan. hopefully the shows writing and other actors compensate for where (i personally think) she lacks.

  6. I’m not a fan per se either, but I really want some variety when it comes to black women on TV. Truth be told, I can barely tolerate Scandal and HTGAWM. Both are so heavy handed and feature black women caping for rich white folks too much. Being Mary Jane is just depressing. That leaves with with Sleepy Hollow and Minority Report, both of which I want to last a few more seasons.

  7. SISTA, apparently there’s only two stories starring Abbie Mills on the Chamber. I haven’t read them yet but I will. “I’ll Crawl Home to Her” is a crossover with Supernatural/Sleepy Hollow and “Higher Love” is the other tale.

I used to write fanfiction for Star Wars, Heroes, The Wire. Had my works posted there but pulled all of them.

  8. SISTA thanks for the recommendations. I’d love to see your list of “best of” fics once you get it compiled. Feel free to email me…can you see my email address, or?…do I need to cloak-and-dagger post/send it to you?

  9. So I had it playing in the background while I played a computer game last night. It was an okay episode. I can see myself renting and watching the entire season at once.
