A day after celebrating their one year anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Carter, aka Beyonce & Jay-Z, were spotted having a late lunch at Pastis, a popular French eatery in midtown Manhattan. Sporting honey blonde locks and dark shades, Beyonce took time off from her tour to hook back up with her better half before heading back out on the road. The singer is also due to debut two new videos this month, including one for the single Ego, which was recently remixed to include a few verses from rapper Kanye West. Click here to check it out. I just find it strange that she talked about how she called Michelle Obama to thank her for allowing her to sing to them but yet when asked by Entertainment Tonight if she had called Jennifer Hudson to give her condolences, she said no, but I am praying for her. Something about Beyonce just rubs me the wrong way. She doesn’t seem humble at all and comes off as very self-centered. God help her if she suffers a life changing experience that will shake up her entire perfect world. I agree 100% with iRobot, Jay & Bee aren’t comparable to Barack & Michelle. Anybody who thinks differently is in denial and I dare one of you to say it in front of at least 4 people that Jay & Bee are in the same league as Michelle & Barack, and have at least ONE person co-sign you. Now this is just my personal opinion on this “glamorous” couple : People claim this is an awesome relationship because they have been together for 7 years, well Whitney and Bobby stayed married 15 years, and that was one of the worst case of dysfunctional relationships ever. I absolutely don’t believe “Jayonce” is a quality relationship. She wanted a man like her father, she got a man like her father. A total control freak and a machist. Beyonce is a charismatic entertainer, she’s beautiful, successful and rich, that’s undeniable. But her life looks far from wonderful to me, those who aren’t blinded by what glitters can sense it. I wouldn’t trade places for the golden cage she’s living in if my life depended on it.

She probably has the literacy of a 9th grader (and Im being generous, more like a 6th grader) based on the time she actually spent in school. Everyone doesn’t enjoy Jay and Bey’s BRAND of entertainment and find it coutnerproductive to certain traditional values, ie. education, modesty, its their right to feel that way. (perspective!)

This is what kills me. Okay, Bey criticizers say that it is okay for them not to like what she brings to the entertainment field. Fine. I agree. But for one, why post paragraph after paragraph on someone who you don’t enjoy day in and day out? Point made, now leave it be.
Secondly, the criticizers love to criticize Bey’s education or lack of it. Well, at the least the girl has graduated high school(unlike most entertainers even the most famous ones(http://www.onpedia.com/encyclopedia/list-of-high-school-dropouts), home schooled or not and in doing so, helped her grow in the profession that she is right now because even in elementary school, she went to a music magnet(Parker Music Academy) so even as a little girl she was always around music, learning about it and was formally trained in it.
She went after a dream, her parents encouraged it as well as put her in position to accomplish it and she did it. If Beyonce ever wanted to go to college, she can do it because she WANTS TO, not because she NEEDS IT to get a high paying job like 99% of the people in this country. That’s the only reason why most people go to school in the first place. Not to get an education but to secure future high-paying jobs. And 1/2 the time, it is not even what they want to do but they feel they have to pay the bills. At least, Bey is doing what she loves and that’s one of the reasons why she is successful for it. If you don’t like what she does, at least give her that much. I know for some of you it is, but the truth is the truth.
Now, I am not against higher education but the point is, it’s not for everyone and I also submit that there are people who might be “ignorant” but not dumb. Some of the smartest people I know are people who don’t have “book smarts” or degrees or even a diploma. I know of homeless people who have degrees. And no, money is not everything, but most of the time people think that if you have a degree, you will have a properous life. It don’t work like that.
So instead of trying to bring Beyonce down because some of her fans call her a queen and Jay for that matter. All they are saying is that they are great in the field that they work in. Why make it that deep? Just because they aren’t Ivy League grads don’t take that away from them and since they are successful, we can learn from them and what they do.
People can knock Jay but this is a man who was a former drug dealer who turned his life around is no longer doing that, allowing his talent to bigger and better things. I can give him credit for that because I know guys who can’t leave the block, when they get out of jail, they go back to it because they are afraid of doing what it takes to stay away from it. Folks can learn from him. I am not saying to worship them but can we be balanced enough to see what they have done and the hard work it took for the both of them to get where they are? I am sorry for this long post but it needed to be said.
Because they are being shoved down our throats and I need to throw that **** up and get it out. I have said time and time again, she is a great entertainaer, however it starts and ends right there.

Actually their are many people that are far more accomplished than them in a positive way. But some people think if your life is not surrounded by the fame, blitz, and bling it’s not possible.
I disagree 200% that 99% of all people attend college for high paying jobs. Believe it or not the same way Beyonce approached music as her first love. You have have , people that want to be teachers (which is definately not for the money), lawyers, doctors, scientists etc because they have a love for the craft. There is more to life than entertainment. And there are definately far more important roles in life that need to be fulfilled that can actually save other peoples life.

Anonomous, I said that there is nothing wrong seeking higher education. What I am saying is that for the most part, most people(okay 99% was an exageration, I can admit that) go for it only because they want higher paying jobs. That’s why so many peeps play the lottery, hoping they can win money and not have to work their jobs. Yes, I know there are exceptions and that’s why I said 99% to make room for that exception. It wasn’t a REAL guesstimate. It was to make a point and my point was, that Bey LOVES what she is doing and if she was to ever want to go and do something else, she can do it not because she wants to make money but because she wants to and not everyone can say that. I am not glorifying entertainers. I even said that she is not my role model, Jesus and my fam is. It’s just a shame that you and others can’t at least give her that much credit.
