Naomi’s New Ad Campaign

Naomi Campbell has been making a lot of waves lately. The modeling icon recently took her industry to task for abandoning Black models during the recession- and is now turning heads at PETA after signing on to be the face of Dennis Basso’s 2009/2010 Fall/Winter Fur Campaign. This wouldn’t be such a big deal if Naomi herself had not posed in one of PETA’s now infamous “I Would Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” ads. When asked about her sudden change of heart the model said she was at peace with her decision… and with PETA. “Yes, I am wearing fur, but I have also made up with that guy from PETA”.

Dennis Basso’s furs are sold for upwards of $200,000.

Check out shots of Naomi’s campaign below.

  1. Ms. Campbell is beautiful. She stays fabolous. Even though she’s still working the modeling industry, I hope she has a back up plan, aside from the rich white guy.

  2. Naomi is the baddest chick in the modeling industry. Sure she’s a diva, a phenom to be reckon, but the woman is doing it. And Naomi has her own money. She has a perfume line, she’s an actress and still models, and whatever investments she has made over the years. Plus, Gianni Versace was her godfather, he gave her a lifetime contract. So, she’s taken care of.

  3. SHe is so beautiful. I was so mad when, i think 2 years ago, she wasn’t on Bet’s top 25 most beautiful black women in 20 years.

  4. I’m so proud of the black models that her still shining through the hard times. Naomi isn’t even 40 yet and Iman is still doing the damn thing along with Tyra.

  5. BEAUTIFUL! I’m an animal lover and I can’t stand peeta. Peeta can go F@#k themselves, they are a bunch of nut jobs.

  6. @ BOHWE

I didn’t know that about Versace. Anyways I’m glad to hear she has so much going for herself.

  7. Naomi looks better now than she did 10 years ago. I always consider Naomi my #1 idol.

  8. I am so proud of Naomi Campbell. She is iconic in the modeling industry. She has grown and matured right before our eyes. She is a very out spoken individual who has dealt with an industry that was not completely open to black women. Keep doing what you are doing Ms. Naomi!!!!!

And bye the way she is a beautiful black women!
