Things have been relatively quiet for awhile in the career of pop star/actress Brandy but that is bound to change with the release of her fifth studio album, to hear producer RedOne tell it. He recently finished recording “a big ballad that is going to break people’s hearts” with Brandy. “She’s really coming hard,” he says, “going really, really good now. From what I hear, Rodney Jerkins is doing his thing and doing some great things with her and the timing is perfect.” Brandy, who was badly shaken by the fatal car crash in which she was involved at the end of 2006, dropped out of serving as a judge on “America’s Got Talent” in 2007 and hadn’t been heard from much since. All that however will change tomorrow when the singer’s debut single, from her upcoming album, makes it worldwide debut on her official MySpace Page.

The full song is available on her site now and I just cannot believe this is the song they chose as the first single. It’s mediocre to say the least. Not the Darkchild Brandy I was expecting at all.

I love Brandy, but I think she’s got better tracks on this album. Just like her last album, she picked the wrong single, b/c Afrodisiac was a great album. I am still looking forward to her return because she never dissappoints me.
I loved Afrodisiac too!!! Her new single has been released via her website, and I wasn’t feeling it. Liyah, I think the same can be said about Monica. I loved The Makings of Me, but felt they released the wrong singles. Damn those record companies!!

You know what guys? I listened to it again and I like it. This is the song you need to hear on the radio or in your car. I think there are more sounds or instruments that you can’t hear on the net. I LIKE IT!!!
The song is HOTT. Not everyone is trying to release a club banger. The ad libs, her note placement and choices….awesome. And I KNOW the album is amazing. Can’t wait to get it.
well i’m sure ain’t trying to put out a party anthem just right away. you’ll get something you can bump to sooner or later but the song is cool. glad she’s back with darkchild. i just hope he doesn’t go the timbaland route and make all his beats sound the same…..that’s straight wackness.

No this song is not hot. I agree a club banger isn’t always the way to go but a song at least needs to be interesting, fun and should make people want to sing a long to it. This song just doesn’t pop and should not be used as the first single.
well i’m sorry some of u guys don’t like this single..just because she isn’t talking about breaking up or shaking her *** in the club doesn’t mean its not a first single song…this is gonna eat the pop charts up…u have to admit r&b will never be what it was in the 90’s again…but brandy makes great music that u can listen to forever..this is indeed a grower single..some of u guys weren’t sure about a.keys “no one” or rihanna’s “umbrella” and look how those turned out..they grew on people no1 liked those songs at first but after awhile those singles became the height of their careers…support brandy all she needs is the right promotion and the right video and trust me u’ll love this song….new album “human” in stores nov.11th go cop that i know i will be buying two of them..

Everything that’s happening with her sounds pretty good. But what I would like to know is did that lawsuit behind the car crash ever get resolved ? Because the last thing I remember hearing was that the case had a certain time frame to go to trail before the limitation ran out. Cause SHE DID CAUSE IT, but the injured party had a time trying to get her to answer for it. That’s what I remember hearing. Does anyone else have any news on that ?
Cause IF she never did own-up to it or resolve that issue that would be pretty sad that 2yrs later she just pops-up with a new cd and it’s cool when it’s not. Again I ask does anybody have further news on that please let me (us )know.
