Embattled singer Erykah Badu is giving off some Diana Ross 1970s-esque flavor in her latest ad for Tom Ford’s White Patchouli fragrance. The neo-soul diva, who recently came under fire from fans and critics alike for having numerous children without the benefit of marriage, was handpicked by Ford himself to be the face of his new fragrance and recently premiered the first photo from this campaign exactly one month ago today. And though White Patchouli won’t be available in stores until September, as with all Tom Ford campaigns- the imagery is as important as the product which is why they are releasing shots of Erykah even before they officially appear in magazine advertisements next month.
