“Not Anymore”, a new song from Letoya Luckett, has been making the rounds online. The song is reportedly written by hit making powerhouse Ne-yo, and has officially been confirmed as the lead single from the singer’s sophomore album- Lady Love. LeToya’s new album will boast songwriting and production work from Pharell Williams, Palow da Don, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Raphael Saadiq. LeToya Online reports that the single will debut on radio tomorrow and officially go for crossover adds on February 3rd. Go Letoya! I liked her debut cd. I will pick up the new one! The single sounded pretty generic to me, but I wish her well on it!
Her last album was really good…but this song may have to grow on me, IDK…. to me it lacks depth and “UMPH” hoping she would come harder with this album.

you know what letoya? this song isnt bad at all…the only thing is that its not very catchy and for a artist like her she need to have something that catches the audience…kinda like with her first solo single torn…it was catch you know what i mean? but the song is still pretty good and she sounds nice…i like this sound for her and the pic is very nice of her :)

Yeah, this song is cool. I was bobbin my head a lil bit. I like her, so I’ll probably download, uh, ..I mean buy, the album. :) I’m still mad she can sing and DC played her.

With the platinum success of her first album and how it debuting at number 1 she may have a chance of revitalizing her career after such a long hiatus. BTW, the pic is an old promo shot from the first album so I doubt that it will be the CD cover.

She’s a cute girl, and the song is pretty good. Im glad she’s over the DC break up and she is so mature about it too..she even sells House Of Dereon in her store “Lady Elle” She said when her and Bee run into each other they always congrat each other on their Success. Her and Beyonce are the ONLY DC members to have #1 album. So the BEEF would be pointless. They were BFF’s at one point….Hopefully she comes hard with this album! Go Letoya!!

I love this song! Every woman that is in a low self esteem, low confidence and mentally or physically abusive relationship which a large percentage of sista’s are need to hear this…instead of put a ring on it!

I like it!! She is doing more with her voice and it stands out in the song instead of the beat. Her first CD was a solid effort and could have done better if not for the label freeze up. If the label is all good now and gives her the support she needs she can do well. I do however want to see a different look, not that she looks bad but a new CD deserves a new look.
I love her cd. Im going to support her. I alway like her when she was with DC. So Go Latoya work it.

I have been saying for a while that Letoya has stepped up her game for a while. The song is nice, Neyo is one of the best “lyric-writers” in the industry and Toya’s voice is fuller than last album era. I am proud of her and let’s not get into a Beyonce vs Toya thing. It has been 10 years and both of them are doing great things, let it go and enjoy what both are doing.

I think LeToya has her own style set up apart from DC. LeToya is LeToya and that’s all who she can be. Not Beyonce, Mariah or anyone else but LeToya; she’s fine with that n so am I. The song is a grower, original but a grower. In plus there are plenty more singles to be released from “Lady Love” like “Lazy”. “Lazy” was hot!

I will venture a guess and say that when Beyonce did “Put A Ring On It”, she was assuming that the ladies who will be listening to it have enough brain power to know if they are in a “low self esteem, low condidence and mentally or physically abusive relationship”. To me, Beyonce sends a strong statement at the ending of the “Put A Ring On It” video. What does Beyonce do? She shows you her left hand , where her wedding ring is, then she suddenly closes that left hand then grins at you and chuckles a bit. In other words, Beyonce has said, ” this is MY ring from MY man! Go get a ring and a man of your own… if you can.” That is a direct slam at anti-Beyonce people everywhere.
looked up letoyas “lazy” on youtube and that should have been the first single I KEEP LISTENING TO THE CLIP OVER AND OVER…i liked her first single torn but i didnt get into this girl that much but after hearing these clips i may have to go pick the album up this time around lazy is a hit and i love it….yall should check it out!

@ you already know…I agree, “don’t need you” is my jam and its only a demo LOL. I feel that should have been her 1st single. Anyway, I don’t even like Letoya like that, but I admire her talent and love for music. I’m just more of a A.Keys/Beyonce type of girl music wise.
I really like the song..it moves you a bit. The song can work for both male or female (when you remove the “girls” part). This is proof there is life after leaving Destiny’s Child. :)
