Though not officially announced, Gil dropped hints via his Twitter account, that he and Nicki were on their way to Buenos Aires to shoot the commercial, which he will be choreographing.
Nicki also sent out a tweet that simply read: “Argentina.”
Should the “Queen of Hip-Pop Fluff” actually land such a campaign, it would be an incredible feather in her cap. Sure other rappers, male and female, have landed major endorsements, but none at such an early stage in their career.
And despite having the first two singles from her “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” CD panned by fans and critics alike, Nicki’s latest offering, the pop-i-fied “Starships,” is shaping up to be quite a hit.
The song has already reached #5 on iTunes, sans a video or any major airplay.
