Nicki Minaj Stuns in New Photo Shoot

With her third solo CD “The Pinkprint” set to be released in less than a month, Hip-Pop diva Nicki Minaj is ramping up her promo game.

Along with her hosting duties at this year’s MTV European Music Awards, Nicki is expected to cover upcoming issues of Cosmo, Glamour and Vanity Fair.

It is most likely from one of those magazines, and my money is on Vanity Fair, that the images below most likely came from.

The stunning photos, taken by Vijat Mohindra, feature Nicki in an assortment of metal inspired outfits from the Chromat Fall 2014 Collection.

Nicki’s look in recent photo shoots have been a dramatic departure from those longtime fans of the singer/rapper are used to seeing. According to Nicki, as her music evolves, so does her look. “I am a chameleon,” Minaj recently told Vogue magazine. “My look adapts to fit my mood.”

Expect to see more of Nicki’s incarnations at the EMA’s where she will reportedly be performing her smash single “Anaconda.”

As for “The Pinkprint,” it makes its impact worldwide on November 24th.

  1. Love Nicki. When since Vanity Fair puts a black person on their cover, I’ll have to see it to believe it. (She must be the third black person EVER). I guess I’ll be buying that mag, as well as Cosmo and Glamour.

  2. About time they pick someone with substance and pop! Good for Nicki! I know I will be picking up Vanity Fair this month.

  3. A Google search for Vanity Fair covers featuring black women yields: Beyonce, Kerry Washington Adepero Oduye (insert), Paula Patton (insert), Lupita Nyong’o (insert), Naoemi Harris (insert), Zoe Saldana (insert), Quvenzhané Wallis (Italy cover & special collection insert), Angela Bassett (insert), Raven Symone (insert), Macy Gray (cover), Mary J. Blige (insert), Jada Pinkett Smith (insert), Maya Rudolph (ensemble cover), Beyonce (ensemble cover), Beyonce (ensemble cover), Naomi (Spain cover), Eve (insert), Alicia Keys (ensemble cover), Missy Elliot (ensemble insert), Alicia Keys & Iman (cover – Africa edition), Oprah (cover – Africa edition), Maya Angelou (cover – Africa edition)…

This is the most basic of searches.

    Two things I’ve to say:

    1) if Nicki is featured on the cover, she will be in good company either being a part of an ensemble/group photo or having a solo cover (most coveted).

    2) just perusing these magazine covers through the years, i see the strategy of some artists and how they position themselves in a place of high-standing and maintaining that spot once they get there.

  4. I think it was W magazine Nicki covered. Not sure, didn’t bother searching. Either way she looks good, but I loathe her music. Not much else I think of her.
