Nicki Minaj’s ‘Trini Girl’ Fragrance + ABC Shelves Her Series

Nicki Minaj Unveils Her New Trini Girl Fragrance

Rapper Nicki Minaj’s eighth fragrance, Trini Girl, is set to be unveiled in the US and UK on October 20th via the Home Shopping Network. Trini Girl is a collaboration between Nicki and Elizabeth Arden and reportedly features notes of juicy fruit, chaconia blossoms, coconut water, and white musk.

Trini Girl will retail for around $60 and eventually go on sale via national retailers like Target and Wal-Mart. According to WWD, Nicki’s previous seven fragrances have amassed sales of over $100,000,000 globally and are among the most popular celebrity fragrances on the market.

And in another bit of Nicki news, the rapper finally confirms what I posted months ago– that her ABC Family (renamed Freeform) comedy, Nicki, has been shelved by the network. Nicki cites creative reasons for the show being axed, while common sense pretty much supports the idea that ABC was not about to air a show that featured Nicki’s brother Jaylen, who was arrested and charged earlier this year with the sexual abuse of a minor.

At any rate, Nicki doesn’t say ABC has completely given up on the Nicki series, only that it has been shelved for now. Word around the water cooler is that the Jaylen character was dropped and reshoots have since taken place.
