Nicole Beharie’s New Movie to Debut at Sundance

Nicole Beharie Shoots New Film ‘Monsters and Men’

Despite her lack of press, actress Nicole Beharie has actually been quite busy since leaving her role as Lieutenant Abbie Mills on the hit Fox show Sleepy Hollow. The pint-size beauty reportedly shot two films back-to-back (Jacob’s Ladder + Monsters and Men) and was most recently honored with the Trailblazer Award at this year’s Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series.

Nicole’s latest film, Monsters and Men, was shot earlier this fall and will debut at the Sundance Film Festival next month. The independent project centers on the police shooting of an unarmed black man by the police and co-stars Anthony Ramos, Cassandra Freeman, and John David Robinson.

Nicole is no stranger to Sundance, having appeared in a number of hit festival debuts, including My Last Day Without You (2011), Shame (2011), The Last Fall (2012), Apartment 4E (2012), and American Violet (2008).
