Rihanna’s video for her poppy single Shut Up & Drive is here and it’s quite cute. I just heard the song on the radio for the first time last week and I suspect it will a big hit. Not as big as Umbrella, but big nonetheless. This track is mainly to solidify Rihanna as a pop artist and it does just that. Pop radio will have a field day with single and a more hip hop remix (with a rapper) will probably be sent to R n’ B stations in the coming weeks.

Raptress Eve is relaunching her Fetish clothing line which first debuted back in 2003 but was quickly dropped due to problems with the partnering company, INNOVI GROUP. Eve admits to not liking the original line which she says had too many studs and rhinestones and was simply too brand based. Eve says the relaunch will reflect more of her personal style which is grown up, sexy and classy. Also on board is the new partnering company of Signature Apparel. The end result is a new contemporary sportswear line that includes high waisted jeans (yikes), leather jackets, and logo shirts. Expect the newly revamped Fetish to hit stores near you this fall.

Tameka Foster, better known to world as Usher’s fiancé, sat down to talk to Essence Magazine about the innuendo, speculation and out right un truths that are often printed about her and her relationship with the much younger singer. Tameka pulls no punches and answers questions openly about her former husband, where her children are and if she really was the cause of Usher firing his mother as his manager. Janet fans have speculated for months now that Janet would leave Virgin Records for Island Def Jam and that appears to be exactly what is happening. 20 Y.O was Janet’s last album under contract with Virgin and now reports are circulating that L.A. Reid, President of IDJ, is down in Miami personally overseeing the new album which is rumored to have production from long time collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, as well as Pharell and Ne-Yo. No word yet whether Jermaine Dupri, Janet’s boyfriend, will be contributing tracks to the new project.

In the July issue of Vibe, the editors got together and compiled what they called Vibe’s Hit List: The 25 Sexiest Celebrities. Ordinarily I would have passed this right on by, but how could I ignore a list that put Benicio Del Toro at #10? Yes, I know. You are all wondering who the heck is Benicio and that is what makes this list, like most lists, utterly laughable, but still worth talking about. Some of the other names to make the list were Jennifer Hudson, Meagan Good and you all know who came in at #1- Beyonce. Samsung’s Four Seasons Of Hope goodwill program held their sixth annual celebrity gala to benefit needy families last night at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street. Seasons Of Hope recognizes celebrities who use their fame for charitable efforts and Alicia Keys performed in support of her Alicia Keys Family Foundation which provides scholarships to children from poor families. No video from the performance has been made available as of yet, but as always, we do have the photos to share with you all. Goce!

Another Tuesday is upon us and so you know what that means- It’s Talk To Me Tuesday time again. This is where members to get to have open discussions on the blog about whatever they like. Conversations are not limited to talks about gossip or celebrities. You can’t vent, get to know your fellow posters, ask questions, give and get advice. It’s basically all up to you. Our last few TTMT conversations were pretty intense and hopefully this week’s discussion will just as thought provoking. So enough from me already- talk to me people…

Rapper Eve is set to take the reigns over on BET by guest hosting their Rap City show all next week. BET also plans to address the absence of women in rap music. Roxanne Shante, DJ Jazzy Joyce, MC Lyte, Remy Ma and others will also stop by to give their prospective on the disappearing female rapper syndrome that I actually wrote about some weeks ago.

You guys know how we do things around here. Every Friday we post a small collection of photos that crossed our desk earlier in the week but for one reason or another were not featured in any articles. This week we will start things off a little differently by taking a trip down memory lane. I’m sure you all recognize the beautiful couple in the pics below. It is none other than Usher and his then girlfriend, Rozanda Chili Thomas. They were such a cute couple and call me crazy- but doesn’t Usher’s new fiancé look like an older version of Chili?
