New Site Design

posted by Sista on April 17, 2007

After many weeks of testing potential new designs for this site I have decided to go with the theme you are all looking at now. I originally used this theme some years ago on my personal blog and after many hours of tweaking I was finally able to get it up and running properly on this site. I would really like to hear what everyone thinks of it and most of all if you are experiencing any problems. The look of a design can vary greatly from one browser to another, so what I see using Firefox and IF 7 may not be what you see using Opera or IE. Please note that the site is still a work in progress and little things like the missing smilies will be added back shortly.

Rihanna’s Album Cover

posted by Sista on April 16, 2007

Rihanna Good Girl Gone Bad Album Cover Singer Rihanna has made the cover of her new album Good Girl Gone Bad, available via her official website and I must say I am very impressed with it. It’s understated yet eye catching at the same time. Rihanna appears to definitely be flexing her glamour girl image and this cover will no doubt help to solidify that image. And though I have never been a fan of her music, I predict the sista’s star will continue to rise, especially with the release of the new album. Rihanna has the backing of a very powerful record label as well as corporate agencies and sponsors who have a lot invested in her becoming the next big thing. Add her good looks and youthful innocence to the equation and I think we have the makings of another Brandy- yes I said Brandy.

Ciara Performs At Redline

posted by Sista on April 13, 2007

Ciara performed at the Redline After Party in Los Angeles last night and as always the sista continues to do things with her body some of us only dream of. I admit I have not always been a fan of her style, but I respect the her ability to twist her body like a contortionist. If nothing else-the sista sure is flexible.

posted by Debra on April 11, 2007

Halle Berry and that fossil known as Bruce Willis premiered their highly anticipated movie, Perfect Stranger last night in New York City at the famed Ziegfeld Theater. Halle as usual looked perfect but kept mum on the red carpet about her little spat with Parade Magazine. As some of you may know, Halle was accused of resurrecting her ten year old suicide attempt in an interview she gave with the magazine in an effort to boost interest in her movie. Halle denied that claim and fired back, insisting that the incident was publicized by the writers, not her.
