Dawn Richard’s New Single

Singer Dawn Richard is just weeks away from releasing ‘BlackHeart,’ the second album in her trilogy of “Heart” albums set to be released this year.

‘Meteors,’ the album’s lead single, was released in its entirety earlier this week, and is available for download via Dawn’s official online presence.

And just as she did earlier this year with her ‘GoldenHeart’ album, Dawn once again intends to launch a small club tour to support ‘BlackHeart.’

Give the new single a listen below and let us know what you think.

Dawn Richard at PHLEXtravaganza

Singer Dawn Richard performed at last night’s 8th Annual PHLEXtravaganza event in Hollywood, California.

When I saw these pics appear in my WireImage timeline, I immediately Googled PHLEXtravaganza but came up with very little. Not even the event’s official website clues you in to what it is about.

What I did find out is that PHLEXtravaganza hosts parties and is reportedly the brainchild of director/choreographer Phlexcellence.

Having said all that, here Dawn is below arriving for the event. Both she and singer JoJo provided the night’s entertainment, though no videos appear to have made their way online as of this posting.

In other news about Dawn, the former Danity Kane member might not be so former after all. Rumors started swirling of a reunion when she [Dawn] met up with fellow bandmates Aundrea Fimbres, Shannon Bex and Aubrey O’Day for lunch last week. The girls are rumored to be getting back together, sans member D. Woods who says she knew nothing of a reunion and first learned of it via Twitter.

Dawn Richard Signs Copies of New CD

‘Goldenheart’ singer Dawn Richard took time off from touring last night to meet fans and sign copies of her new album at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, California.

Dawn released two unheard tracks earlier this month and says she is already working on her ‘Blackheart’ album, the second in what the singer says will be a trilogy.

Look for Dawn to add more dates to her ‘Goldenheart’ tour in the summer.

In the meantime, check out the singer’s recent interview below where she appears to come out. Fans hit the singer up about her commenst on Twitter, but like s true diva, she played coy.

More Music from Dawn Richard

The pace at which Dawn Richard releases new music is just mind boggling. Just when you wrap your mind around one song, here comes another.

Earlier this month Dawn released ‘Love on the Rocks,’ which this week has been followed up with ‘Bum Bum.’ Both songs show Dawn at her best, but being released so close together, they almost cancel each other out.

Dawn needs to space these joints out a bit. Give each single time to grow and attract an audience.

If you want to catch Dawn performing her new music, you might want to check her out on tour. She is presently on the road in support of her ‘Goldenheart’ album and has stops coming up in San Francisco on March 20th and West Hollywood on March 26th.
