Regina Hall Does ‘About Last Night’ Promo

REGINA HALL

With her role in Martin Lawrence’s CBS pilot officially canceled, actress Regina Hall says she found herself with a bit of extra time on her hands and used it to tape her latest film “About Last Night,” due out February 14th.

The romantic comedy co-stars Kevin Hart, Joy Bryant, and “Almost Human” actor Michael Ealy.

If the success of Regina’s recent films are any indication, “About Last Night” may shock everyone and become another unexpected urban blockbuster.

Both “Think Like a Man” and “Best Man Holiday” topped the North American box office, tallying receipts of 30-million dollars in their opening week.

Regina Hall Readies Next Film + Best Man 3 Coming Soon

REGINA HALL ABOUT LAST NIGHT

Actress Regina Hall is all smiles after learning her latest film, “The Best Man Holiday,” grossed just over 30 million dollars at the weekend box office- and though it came in at #2 behind “Thor: The Dark World,” its per screen average of $15,115 was far greater than “Thor’s” per screen average of $10,011.

Regina thanked fans for their support of the film via her Facebook page and broke a bit of news as well. Apparently Hollywood is so enamored with the film’s success, they have asked writer/director Malcolm Lee to start working on the third installment of the film.

Regina Hall Lands New CBS Pilot

Kerry Washington’s recent quote about it being “a great time to be a black actress in Hollywood” is looking more and more true. Not only is the 35-year old actress the star of her own ABC drama this season, but so is Meagan Good, Danai Gurira, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kym Whitley and now Regina Hall.

According to Shadow & Act, Regina will join Martin Lawrence in the actor’s recently announced, but still untitled, CBS comedy pilot.

Martin will play a widowed father (Ray) of two teenagers who, after losing his job, decides to enroll in the police academy.

Regina will reportedly play a character named Lisa, described as a “cute and perky police officer,” who sets her sights on the new enrollee.

No word on when exactly the show will air, but we can only assume it will be this fall.

In the meantime, all you Regina fans can head to the theater on April 20th to see the brown skin beauty in the new comedy “Think Like a Man.”

Regina Hall Takes It Off For Allure

Allure Magazine’s annual “Naked Truth” issue hits newsstands on April 20th and features actress Regina Hall, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Jessica Capshaw, Colbie Caillat and Catherine Zeta-Jones- who also landed the cover.

Regina, who turns 40 in December, is featured in Chris Rock’s “Death At A Funeral,” which opens this weekend. The actress is also set to appear in the upcoming film “Mardis Gras,” as well as the fifth installment of Scary Movie.

The Ladies of ‘Think Like a Man’

Actresses Gabrielle Union, Regina Hall and Meagan Good recently sat down with Blacktree TV to discuss their upcoming film “Think Like A Man.”

Adapted from the Steve Harvey bestseller “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man,” the film is highly anticipated and already has a sequel in the works.

According to each of the ladies, the movie was a joy to work on and does a great job of speaking to the dynamics of relationships today, especially in the age of social media.

“Every so often things come along that change the landscape of relationships,” said Gabrielle. “So like your mother really can’t give you relationship advice as it pertains to Twitter.”

This is where the ladies believe Steve’s book comes in, as according to Meagan, it and the movie are a modern day advice manual for dealing with relationships in the digital age.

Check out the video below and look for the movie to open nationwide on April 20th.
